Static-X Ranked
Let's do it to it my guys. |
7 | | Static-X Cult Of Static
Is this a surprise? The album just fails to be memorable in any significant way, and it's massively annoying how many songs fade out at the end.
1.5/5
Best Song: You Am I
Worst Song: Z28 |
6 | | Static-X Cannibal
Decent enough, and the addition of guitar solos is a welcome one, but this was pretty clearly the beginning of their decline in the 2000's.
3/5
Best Song: Cuts You Up
Worst Song: Destroyer |
5 | | Static-X Shadow Zone
I definitely don't dislike this album, but it features a lot more cleaner vocals, and I just can't shake off how much Wayne Static sounds like he's doing his best Jonathon Davis impression most of the time.
3/5
Best Song: New Pain
Worst Song: Otsegolectric |
4 | | Static-X Machine
Easily one of their most consistent releases, even if the highs aren't particularly awe inspiring.
3.5/5
Best Song: Black and White
Worst Song: ...In A Bag |
3 | | Static-X Start a War
Probably a little biased, but what can I say? I've got a soft spot for this album. Sort of the same deal as Machine though in the sense that no part of it is truly jaw dropping, but it's still pretty damn consistent.
3.5/5
Best Song: I'm the One
Worst Song: I Want to Fucking Break It |
2 | | Static-X Project Regeneration Vol. 1
One of the biggest surprises of 2020 for sure. It's really too bad that Wayne isn't around anymore, but the quality of music the rest of the band put out on this project is very impressive.
3.5/5
Best Song: My Destruction
Worst Song: Accelerate |
1 | | Static-X Wisconsin Death Trip
Was there ever any doubt? While it's far from the best 90's nu-metal album out there, there's no denying its influence.
4/5
Best Song(s): Love Dump/Wisconsin Death Trip
Worst Song: December (just kinda unnecessary) |
