Weezer Ranked
Over the last week I listened to their whole discography in order, and now I'm finally ready to rank this crazy inconsistent band. |
13 | | Weezer Pacific Daydream
Perhaps this is a little biased, since this is probably the most disappointed I've been from a Weezer album. But even with this as their worst album, it still isn't all terrible. As with all the below average Weezer records, this suffers from being wildly inconsistent. Unfortunately it just doesn't have enough high points to warrant putting it any higher.
2/5
Best Song: Mexican Fender
Worst Song: QB Blitz |
12 | | Weezer Make Believe
This album's reputation pretty much speaks for itself. Combine the poppy sound of Raditude with the dullness of The Green Album's lowest points and you have this snooze-fest.
2/5
Best Song: Pardon Me
Worst Song: Beverly Hills |
11 | | Weezer The Black Album
This feels a lot like Raditude 2.0...which is probably not what you want considering they had 10 years to learn from their mistakes.
2/5
Best Song: Byzantine
Worst Song: Zombie Bastards |
10 | | Weezer Raditude
Easily the most inconsistent Weezer has ever been. Some of the catchiest songs of their career can be found here, but you have to make it through some truly awful songs to experience it all.
2/5
Best Song: Trippin' Down the Freeway
Worst Song: Can't Stop Partying |
9 | | Weezer The Red Album
I'll give Weezer the credit they deserve: this is the only album where they've tried featuring a few genre-bending "epics" that actually work quite well. However, the rest of the album is no where near as memorable or interesting.
2.5/5
Best Song: Dreamin'
Worst Song: Everybody Get Dangerous |
8 | | Weezer The Teal Album
I mean, it's a cover album. It was never going to be amazing, but for what it is, this is pretty fun to listen to.
3/5
Best Song: Africa (sorry, such a guilty pleasure)
Worst Song: Billie Jean |
7 | | Weezer The Green Album
Not the most offensively bad, but easily the most forgettable Weezer album. Thankfully wasn't old enough to experience the post-Pinkerton disappointment that most fans felt.
3/5
Best Song: Hash Pipe
Worst Song: Smile |
6 | | Weezer The White Album
Always thought this was a bit overrated, but there's nothing terribly wrong with it. Just feels a bit like they were going through the motions.
3/5
Best Song: Summer Elaine and Drunk Doris
Worst Song: Jacked Up |
5 | | Weezer Hurley
Weezer went through a slump in the mid 2000's, and Hurley was the album to fix things.
3.5/5
Best Song: Ruling Me
Worst Song: Time Flies |
4 | | Weezer Maladroit
First half rules, but it loses steam the longer it continues. Probably their most overlooked album.
3.5/5
Best Song: Dope Nose
Worst Song: Space Rock |
3 | | Weezer Everything Will Be Alright in the End
The most consistent post-Pinkerton Weezer album.
4/5
Best Song: The Futurescope Trilogy
Worst Song: Go Away |
2 | | Weezer Weezer
Probably the second least controversial take on here.
4.5/5
Best Song: Surf Wax America
Worst Song: In the Garage |
1 | | Weezer Pinkerton
Probably the least controversial take on here.
4.5/5
Best Song: The Good Life
Worst Song: No Other One |
