Instant adrenaline creation
Every one of these albums, in no particular order, get me going real fast, every time. |
1 | | Every Time I Die From Parts Unknown
My favorite band. This is like 25% of the reason why. |
2 | | Employed to Serve Greyer than You Remember
is there a better debut hardcore album in the decade? |
3 | | Marmozets The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets
best female singer in heavy music? also if you havent heard it, listen to the good days EP, shit slams |
4 | | Converge All We Love We Leave Behind
"drop off album"? sounds like you haven't given this one enough time. |
5 | | Punch They Don’t Have To Believe
This is as raw, furious, and passionate as feminism and veganism have ever sounded. |
6 | | Dangers Messy, Isn't It?
The rare album that confronts societal evils so aggressively and honestly that it makes me uncomfortable. But that does make 10/10 guitar and drum performances sound even more sick. |
7 | | The Dillinger Escape Plan Ire Works
YOU WAAAAAAAAAAAAANT A VISIOOOOOOOOOOOOON YOU CANT HAVE |
8 | | Parkway Drive Deep Blue
Sometimes simplicity is all you need. Also its a shame that most of their fans have probably never heard Pressures, Hollow, and Set To Destroy. |
9 | | Code Orange Love Is Love // Return To Dust
fucking teenagers made this album. |
10 | | Slipknot Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses
Heavy (sonically and emotionally) with hooks all over the place without sounding poppy more than once or twice out of 16 tracks. Also Joey Jordison what a guy. |
11 | | Wild Throne Harvest of Darkness
One of the most unique sounding heavy albums of the decade. Their first and only, how crazy is that shit? |
12 | | Have Heart The Things We Carry
Probably the most earnest of all the albums I love. Always inspiring, never overstays its welcome. |
13 | | Metallica Live Shit: Binge & Purge
I think there's a good chance I never fully transition from a mostly rock to a mostly hardcore/metal taste if I don't come across this. |
14 | | Avenged Sevenfold City of Evil
This makes up for all the boring parts of their future albums. |
15 | | While She Sleeps Brainwashed
Perhaps my favorite album of all time at the moment. Favorite is a weird word but I'm going off what I've listened to the most, and this is definitely that. They're better than every band they get lumped in with, and this album on its own basically guarantees that will remain true for the rest of their career. One of the most exceptional deliveries on the often broken promise that the next album will be "heavier and more melodic" |
