A Very Festive and Posi 3rd Sputversary

It's cliche to look back on the year and everything that's happened with self reflection, but damn if one year has warranted it, it's this one. Been a hard year for plenty of people, and I can't deny that I fit into that category along with the fact that it's easy for all the venom and negativity of this year in general to bring anyone down. Along with bitter world events this year testing relations and bringing uncertainty for the future, on a personal level it hasn't been the easiest either. Losing all contact someone I cared deeply for at the start of the year, constant academic stress due to striving to get to PhD candidate status, diagnosed with IBS, problems with family and some very dark thoughts hasn't made it easy. If there's one thing positive about these though, it makes me appreciate the things that make me happy this year more and Sputnik is one of them. Though I can't say it has brought me much musically this year (and by my 5's it's evident as to why), despite drama hitting a big high there's so many lovely people on here and I want to make a feel good list for some people I think are especially nice :3
1Drei Affen
Drei Affen

FullOfSounds - Thought I'd start with some fresh meat, and this is the finest piece of grade A meat Sput as imported this year. Always up for Dub, doesn't really shitpost and a stand up lad. Also that 'worst jamz ever' Dub session we did was amazing.
Terminal Redux

50iL - Can't let Full steal all the thunder when someone as young as this is diving into music exploration head first.
3The Dillinger Escape Plan
Option Paralysis

macman76 - Creating the app to end all apps, mx just give this guy admin powers already. Awesome :D
4Etienne Sin
Sinna: Volume 1

ConcubinaryCode - Just for the search of the worst list being that awesome, please finish that list. We need a document of the finest shit available.
Crazy on the Weekend

Doof - Along with making alt of the year (EvilEyez, Chinternet was a close second for making me choke on my drink through laughter), he brings an older perceptive on things which I think Sputnik needs. Seems like an awesome guy despite not really talking to him due to not sharing much in common music wise.
Petitioning the Empty Sky

artuma - Despite being diametrically opposed to myself in many ways music wise it doesn't stop you from being cool. Fine part of the Dub crew :]

ZippaThaRippa - I can confirm Zip does indeed, rip. Always makes me laugh at Dub, I've wasted too many hours in there.

yourgodisinferior - Ball fuckin' DEEP in electronic jams. Adds a ton of variety and chill into Dub which it needs, making me find some cool jams a lot the year and for that I thank you.
9Houkago Tea Time

Flug - The fabulous birb himself :D Dope user, whopper beard and your transformation to weeb status is coming along nicely.
10Judas Priest
Sad Wings of Destiny

RunOfTheMill - Buck Tick bro in arms and a really nice guy. Hopefully by next year you'll have checked all their albums ;)

sach - Despite what a lot of people think of him and some of the shite he has done this year, he makes this place far more interesting and I like him so ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Hope you manage to become fully sober someday.
The Violent Sleep of Reason

Relinquished - Dub more man, you're awesome by the few encounters I've had with you on there (or I'm always asleep when you are, damn time zones)
A Hermitage

Sniff - Further proof that the Dub crew is the best place on Sput, another quality user. Also I'm not liking this album no matter how many times you play it :P
14Regina Spektor
Remember Us To Life

Sinternet - Holy fuck dude do you ever not jam music? Just keep delivering good jamz and I hope you manage to get enough money for Uni next year.
15Maximum the Hormone

Angelboros - Apparently gone MIA recently, which is a shame because he's the ultimate sound off factory and should get contributor from the amount he's done alone.

RikRoach7 - Likes Power Metal, nice guy...what more do I want?
17Brand New
The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me

SowingSeason - YEAHHHHH! For putting up with all of our shit and the amount of work you put into the site this year I have to put you here. Your and the other mod's efforts do not go unnoticed.
18Russian Circles

SitruK6 - The following 5 people are the ones that have made the most impact on me this year, and have become personal friends of mine and I owe them a world of gratitude. Seeing me at my best and worst this year, countless nights of talking and having fun have always cheered me up. I have faith in your music from the promising clips you've sent me and I hope you get the equipment you need to make it sound as good as possible.
One Life, One Death

crossparallel - Without her I wouldn't have explored Buck-Tick's discography to the depth I have done so, which has provided the most enjoyment I've ever got out of music and for that I'm forever grateful. Creating the Buck-Tick Reddit, provided me links to get all of their lives, giving an invite to JPopSuki and her grand 18 minute 'Evolution of Buck Tick' video which broke 100,000+ views this year made it so much easier to travel the gigantic plains of their output and other bands in general. Me and the lads miss you on FB, be more active soon and best wishes on getting your job in the oncoming year. Stay awesome, here's her BT video if anyone who's curious:
Kyokuto Symphony: The Five Stars Night @ Budokan

Jasdevi087 - The most EXCEPTIONALLY modest of users. Making a quality vocal range list this year and doing God's work by going through Gackt's, Diamanda Galas', Siouxsie Sioux's, Yomi's and Nina Hagen's (seriously how the fuck did you stomach this?) discography to find the extent of their vocal ranges, you've been on fire. Hope this next year holds better things for you than this crappy year, and for you to continue to take the piss out of me for not checking any albums.
21The Mortal

Archelirion - Kawaii in the streets, senpai in the sheets. I had so much fun with you on Dub, Orange Juice (stay salty ;) ) and nights where we've dived into Buck-Tick's discography by either lives or albums. Top quality user that deserves contributor this year, and one of my best friends tbh.
22Dir En Grey
Dum Spiro Spero At Nippon Budokan

EvoHavok - My first real friend on Sput, and still is to this day. Even when we've graduated University or found work I bet us two are still gonna spend hours on end catching up on Dir en Grey updates and listening to them either by studio or glorious live outings or me arguing at you for not seeing the greatness of Nunkyo :P Always a pleasure Evo.
23Coheed and Cambria

Sorry if I've missed anyone, I bet you're cool anyway (well...most of you). Happy holidays everyone, embrace the festive cheer of the best time of the year :D Also I can't fucking wait to get the Children of the Fence edition of this for Christmas
