09.09.24 | I've also seen Patti Smith, but she's way too famous to include
Anyone else is not famous enough to have a Sputnikmusic (or at least I'm too lazy to add them lol) |

09.09.24 | from 2014 to 2020 I moved every single year across 4 states. it was an absolute nightmare and I hope to never have to do that again lmao. |

09.09.24 | I can relate, it can be a real burden
Fortunately things have slowed right down now and I've moved twice in the last 10 years or so. Don't think I could hack it these days.
(or I guess pre-24 yo was maybe 12 different places(?) / whereas last 12 years have been only 3... I guess that's what happens when you 'settle down'!)
the wife doesn't stop thinking about the future and will mention steps to improve the 'saleability' of our current house and every time she mentions it in those terms I proclaim that I'm NOT moving again unless we have to for health / family reasons, lol |

09.09.24 | I moved this Summer to a different country with wife & 2 kids, it was bad, but what’s worse is that next Summer we’re moving back. |

09.09.24 | Last time I moved, I upgraded my apartment to a bigger one in the same apartment building.
I moved next door, to another stairway, but I lived on the fourth floor in a 5 floor building, so it was easier to go up through the attic instead of carrying everything down
I held a moving party in both apartments, and every guest had to grab a box and carry it across the attic
That was a pretty nice moving experience |

09.09.24 | I once moved 4 years in a row and it fucking sucked |

09.09.24 | I've lived in Berlin twice now and I absolutely love it. London was great too but now that I'm older I don't think I'd want to live there. I'm from New Zealand originally which is very nice but also very boring. Vancouver was the worst place I've ever lived. Fuck that city. I moved to Kuwait to get away from it and honestly I enjoyed Kuwait more, even though I wouldn't recommend anyone go there unless they're getting paid a lot of money. |

09.09.24 | I lived in Freiburg im Breisgau for 6 months, befriended Syrian refugees and introduced them to hard liquor |

09.10.24 | "I lived in Freiburg im Breisgau for 6 months, befriended Syrian refugees and introduced them to hard liquor"
I made a friend with a bunch of Syrian refugees. They were cool as fuck and man they knew how to party. One of them went back to Syria when the war was cranking (this was around 2017 i think) and I asked her if it was safe and she was just like "yeah you just don't go to the next village over, its a warzone but my town is fine"
They were extremely chill, and nice people. |
CugnoBrasso
09.10.24 | Yahhp the Syrians I befriended were chill, one of them was into Bob Marley and smoked pot all day lmao. We used to hang out in this Mexican place called Enchilada in Freiburg because they served alcohol to minors, they had crazy stories about the war... This was six years ago, great times, I wonder where they are now. |

09.10.24 | Moved between cities this year, it is really stressful and difficult |

09.10.24 | I wonder if my Syrians smoke pot, they sometimes get a waterpipe going, but they seem pretty straight-edge. |

09.27.24 | Holy fuck Fantasy of a Broken Heart - Feats of Engineering is even better than I thought it'd be
Side A is so catchy and fun and Side B is weird but still very fun, surprising progressive pop elements on Side B |
denboy
09.28.24 | The album sounds very much like what I would expect from the band name, which is good because that's exactly what I was in the mood for |
