arthropod 09.21.26	My go-to depression album is Dead End Kings by Katatonia, Twilight Theater by POTF and the s/t by Spiritbox also work well. I feel you man. Is it autumn kicking in or a non-seasonal state?
Wildcardbitchesss 09.21.26	I get it bro. Tbh I don’t really see the point in things anymore. I’m sticking around for my mom and my dogs. Anyway, obvious picks but Alice In Chains - Dirt, Jar of Flies, and the self titled are my go tos when im really feeling like shit. Chelsea Wolfe - Pain is Beauty and Abyss specifically Foxing’s self titled perfectly captures that malaise a lot of us are feeling. Employed to Serve’s first two records are amazing and pretty depressing. Their later records are also depressing but that’s just because they kinda suck. Touché Amore’s Stage Four is one of the saddest things I’ve ever heard but it’s more grief related. You should watch the sopranos tbh
Gfunk839 09.21.26	Alter Bridge - AB III - A concept album about a figure losing his faith in pretty much everything. Gets a little dark and down but there is some definite fight-back against the negative thoughts. An uplifting and defiant journey. GL friend.
budgie 09.21.26	black flag's my war, especially side B. shining's halmstad, coldworld's melancholie, totalselfhatred s/t, joy division's unknown pleasures but that prob doesn't need to be mentioned side B of my war is the strongest though, just hearing the drums/bass notes come in at the begging of the tracks make me feel like i'm about to spiral tiny vipers' life on earth, too, similar vibes to grouper

budgie 09.21.26	yeah dude if i had to come up with a couple bits of music looking at nothing but artistic merit and emotion, that album is at the very, very top, next to shit like debussy's claire de lune or beethoven's 5th piano concerto, saying that without a hint of irony

Wildcardbitchesss 09.21.26	I’m thinking of a lot more atm Rid Of Me: Access to the Lonely is if an emo band made a noise rock record Shin Guard: first record is a fine but pretty basic emo record, 2020 is one of my favorite screamo albums of all time and their split with For Your Health is just as good. Some really painful lyrics on those albums.
Relinquished 09.21.26	was respinning with my wife the new Emma Ruth Rundle record and revisited some of her stuff I forgot I self-banned myself from listening her Living With the Black Dog track
Christbait 09.21.26	Bright Eyes' early stuff definitely fits. Oddly enough, I've found The Decemberists' "Picaresque" to be a good companion for when I'm down. Very human sort of album, although you'll need to forgive Meloy's verbose nature since he uses the album to concoct narratives about gay prostitutes, love between political saboteurs, and getting swallowed by a great whale while seeking vengeance against the man who broke your mother when you were young. But if you want some depressive-sounding Decemberists tracks, here's some off the top of my head: "My Mother was a Trapeze Artist" (5 Songs EP) "The Gymnast, High Above the Ground" (Her Majesty) "The Soldiering Life" (Her Majesty) "California One/Youth and Beauty Brigade" (Castaways and Cutouts) "The Bagman's Gambit" (Picaresque) "On the Bus Mall" (Picaresque)
