Also, I don't know if it's of any use here, but last time I lost a cat, a small personal burial ceremony of sorts brought me solace. Whatever you do, I wish you strength and positivity. P.S. Orla seems like an interesting name to me. How did you choose it?

Hawks 05.26.26	Thanks so much buddy. We bury all of our animals in our backyard. Sadly this isn't the first occurrence. Orla was the name the shelter gave her and we loved it so we kept it.

Last month, Kraken got ill rather seriously, and I was already hysterical and afraid to loose him even before he turns four. I am terribly sorry that your girl couldn't make it If there's an afterlife, I hope the animals I helped will meet me there, and the ones to whom I didn't help as well so that I could apologize. And then we would play and play endlessly, because it's afterlife so no more stupid physical limitations like having only two hands for petting

They add so much to our lives and it hurts a lot that we can’t do more for them sometimes, but prolonging their suffering is always worse. What matters is that we’re there for them all the way until the end.
