03.22.26 | Excuse my rant - I just got done with ER and I have some shit to say.
I hated Elden Ring. The open world is overly big and empty. THe best parts of the game are the legacy dungeons which play just like Dark Souls 3 any way. There is nothing fun about delving into the same 5 dungeons to fight the same copy pasted bosses a million times to grind levels. First dragon encounter? Amazing! 6 more times - fuck that. Nah, open worlds aren't always necessary. Would never replay this like I would Dark Souls games. |

03.22.26 | Elden Ring is a beautiful game with amazing bosses but yeah it doesn't have much replay value imo.
This ranking is kinda diabolical bro. Demon's Souls deserves more love. |

03.22.26 | Elden rings my fav game of all time most likely. That being said the endgame and the dlcs balancing is questionable |

03.22.26 | hmmm might boot up the ol' Demon's Souls on my PS3 here in a bit... apparently there's a private server that one can connect to doesn't look too complicated based on the instructions in the Discord
might be pretty inactive dunno but I was considering revisiting with absolutely no online functionality anyways |

03.22.26 | DS1 doesnt stand up too well nowadays but its so instrumental in paving the way for action games since it came out. It really was such a masterclass of level and game design. It had secrets and intricate enemy designs placed within a world that actually felt like it existed in another realm. It really is a perfect game up to the Ornstein & Smough fight. Elden Ring is obviously the new flavor but i dont like how some of the mechanics that really need to be improved upon just arent and the boss fights are a little too flashy and more intense than they need to be. The final boss is really pretty and almost feels like a bloodborne boss. BB best btw dont @ |

03.22.26 | Bloodborne is my favourite still. Elden Ring is up there but my enthusiasm plummets after Leyndell. The DLC was great though |

Haven’t play Demon Souls but I reckon it’d be better than Sekiro and DSII |

03.22.26 | 1. Sekiro, never slows down or drags and perfect difficulty balancing. Amazing bosses and areas, as close to flawless as it gets.
2. Bloodborne, neck and neck with Sekiro, aesthetic is gorgeous and DLC is amazing.
3. Elden Ring, some of the highest highs and lowest lows, overall an amazing experience still. DLC is also great.
4. Dark Souls III, some of the best bosses in the series, but the areas (besides Irithyll) rarely stand out.
5. Dark Souls, first half is close to perfect, second half suffers from lack of dev time. DLC slaps tho.
6. Dark Souls II, has the lowest lows of the series, but still a good game. DLC helps a lot, as long as you skip the atrocious co-op parts.
Not played Demon Souls yet, need to get on it. |

03.22.26 | No disrespect to Demon’s Souls, I still enjoy it! I’ve beat it on PS3 and PS5, but I find it’s the one I want to return to the least. I put DS2 ahead of it, because despite its shortcomings it’s actually one of the most replayable games of the bunch imo. I really do enjoy Sekiro, but I also find it hard to return to and don’t find the lore or story as compelling. My top 3 are all my 10/10s to me, but I can understand putting Bloodborne in front of Elden Ring, but ER is such a fun game to re-roll and get lost in. I’ve also found the lore to be some of my favorite and the expansion is something else. |

03.22.26 | Bloodborne is undoubtedly my favorite, and I really don’t like Elden Ring much, but it’s one of those games where I understand all the love and acclaim but can just recognize that it’s not for me.
If there were some way to have the gameplay feel closer to Sekiro or Bloodborne then I would really love it… the souls games just feel too slow for me and Elden Ring felt like a spiritual successor to those more than anything else. |
