jrlikestodance 03.05.26	I played it on the OG Switch since I couldn't resist. I thought the main game was a really fun time despite the repetitive nature of it. The DLC was a pretty big let down though but worth it if you're into the megas. My guy Tatsugiri got the best fight lol
ConcubinaryCode 03.05.26	Z-A is on og switch too. The actual campaign is kind of lame but the real time battles were pretty fun. Arceus is still probably the better legends game especially if you like exploring open ended areas to find rare pokemon. Z-A opens up in a way that makes it feel like mini safari zones and its just not as fun or interesting but the combat is a lot better. Plus it has Megas again.

Demon of the Fall 03.05.26	missed the announcement will inevitably get suckered into purchasing a Switch 2 when I see all the cute new Pokes only to complain the game isn't like the 'good ol days' to be fair as much as I love gen 2 I'm a subscriber to the gen 5 supremacy theory and also thought the later 3DS games were underrated (for different reasons). ScVi was an improvement over the frankly horrible SwSh, but I'm not holding my breath that GameFreak will actually deliver on the promise of the open world aspect

US/UM (didn't play the OGs) had too much hand-holding and Kanto worship, but the story was surprisingly decent after gen 6, the dex was solid and I even grew to enjoy the challenge of the totems (playing with no xp share was actually tricky, which was a novelty for Pokemon)

Demon of the Fall 03.05.26	care to elaborate? I'm bored here. I also enjoyed X & Y, partially due to the greatly expanded dex vs previous gens. It was the first Pokémon game I played during lockdown and there were so many 'mon from previous gens I hadn't sampled yet, so the team building aspect was very nice. First gen you could legitimately monorun most types (you could kinda do this on BW2 but it was so limited for many types). Being able to turn XP share off was (again) good for the challenge. Exploration was minimal / underwhelming. The story was ehh, I mean I don't play for the story but I do prefer US/UM's or (easily) BW2. Still, I enjoyed myself and was kind of obsessed day-dreaming about my next team's run while going for my 'one-a-day lockdown exercise' lol

Demon of the Fall 03.05.26	The mega evolution thing was kind of whatever for me, so the inclusion or absence of certain mons didn't hurt my experience. I didn't use any during my in-game runs and online doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned. admittedly mega evo was a very useful feature during my mono-grass OR playthrough, as Mega Sceptile was essential to counter the rather prominent fire type (considering Lotad is AS exclusive lol)

jrlikestodance 03.05.26	I find I'm more into the catching aspect of the games this day so I'd be into any new shiny hunting methods. Honestly as long as the game is fun during my play through, has dope new Pokemon, and enough post game content I am a happy camper. I'm far from a hardcore gamer though so I may be more easily satisfied than the average person.

Actually scrap that, lets go back to 2D Pokémon. but seriously it WOULD theoretically be better but it's not something I care about. My eyes tend to glaze over during cutscenes anyway.

Feather 03.06.26	Anyone else replaying fire red / LG on switch? I am doing nuzlocke for the first time and have lost many great mons (RIP Nidoqueen, Poliwrath and Pinsir). Anyone else 100% Legends ZA? I have like 3 more legendaries through special scans left. I have played every gen. Sword/Shield was likely my least favorite game. Scarlet and Violet were great fun, but the Legends games have both been absolutely baller. Pokemon peaked at GBA era though.

I just can never forgive the sword and shield cutscene where that guy performs a concert and there’s literally no voice or even music playing. Instantly makes that game the worst Pokémon game ever. Which is sad because I think the first 20% of SWSH was super fun.
