Crippling Lack tops it pretty easy for me tho just cuz it has so much more material to it. plus all the extra instrumentation creates some really beautiful harmonies that just wouldn't happen on The Complete Guide with its sparser setup

The rest of his albums didn't click me, but the effort of producing those albums are not to be taken for granted. As for recs... You know Gas' Pop? That's my fave ambient album. Oh, you rated it. cylinder 11.22.24	Thanks, Ladron. Harmony in Ultraviolet is definitely my favorite of Hecker's by far, though there are a few others I enjoy a lot too. You're absolutely right about the effort in their production. Listening to Harmony in Ultraviolet, I try to imagine how he did it... and I can't. Just feels like magic, yknow? That's a really special album. Yes, I love Pop by Gas! Just didn't include it here because technically it's ambient techno. Will check out those other recs, thank you! I think I've heard one Alva Noto album, but it wasn't that one, so that's intriguing.
