05.11.24 | Saw Todd Edwards and Conducta play an amazing b2b set last night. Proper mix of classics and heavy UKG/house bangers. Currently recovering today. Nice Stereolab and Type O pick ups |

05.11.24 | Oh damn, couldn't get super into Todd Edwards when I peeped him a couple of years ago, but I bet he plays a mean set
Wisdom teeth are grim, hate how long it takes to adjust to the empty space even after the pain recedes. Still have two of mine in on one side and kinda wish they'd come out just for symmetry |

05.11.24 | When I got my bottom wisdom teeth out, my dentists drew my blood and spun that shit up with some vitamins to create pre made clots which they stuck in there after the teeth were pulled. Apparently this is not a common practice and I’ve had several other dentists be like “they did what!?!” |

05.11.24 | The album boasts a rich tapestry of collaborations that enhance its depth and reach. Features from esteemed artists across genres?including rappers, jazz musicians, and singers?add a dynamic layer to the already robust sonic landscape. Highlights include the groovy Thundercat bass lines on ?Asha the First? and the compelling raps of BJ the Chicago Kid on ?Together,? which showcase Kamasi?s ability to synergize with diverse musical talents. This album stands out as potentially the best jazz release since 2021's "Promises." While distinctly different in style and composition from "Promises," "Fearless Movement" captures a similar spirit of innovation and excellence. Kamasi Washington is firing on all cylinders, pushing the boundaries of jazz and solidifying his place at the forefront of the genre?s evolution. |

05.11.24 | 5 is my daughters favourite band. Not bad for an 8 year old.
Hope the pork was tasty |

05.11.24 | Currently finishing up my Final Fantasy XIII playthrough. Definitely not as great as I remembered it growing up, but still fun nonetheless... also, some sections (especially Gran Pulse) are way harder than I remember. Oh, and I'm working on my next review
Hope everyone's doing well :] |

05.11.24 | It's been rough, actually. Got fired from my job and GF's been a little under the weather. Hoping for a reset next week |

Nice Kompy, sounds fun! What does she play?
Artificialbox, I got my wisdom teeth removed and they did the same thing to me. Glad I'm not the only one lol.
Nice lab record Johnny :D |

05.12.24 | It's mother's day tomorrow, I'm wondering if I'm burned out on teaching, looking at options for law school for my newest possible pipe dream, jamming the new Knocked Loose + a whole mess of Spanish/Portuguese folk music and just generally having a wonderful time |

05.12.24 | Working outside in nice weather last two days. Hoping to grind out a huge day tomorrow. 🙂 |

05.12.24 | The extended version of Mingus Ah Um worked for me at first, but then after a while I returned to the original cut lengths because, after digesting the longer album, I realized the shortness made for a much more breezy listen for me. Gotta have both tbh!
That, and because there is an MFSL edition on CD that uses the og cuts and sounds absolutely godly sonically (but it's gotten too expensive to get legally unless you worship the album, I'm afraid) |

05.12.24 | I went to the gym yesterday morning. I am at the gym this evening. I went to a very quiet birthday party and watched the two new Dr Who episodes in between — I am sold on Gatwa but Davies’ writing this season has me really not too optimistic about my enjoyment of the rest of the season. Oh well. Back to Big Finish for me! |

05.12.24 | Also yeah original tracklist for Mingus Ah Um is probably better paced — even if I have a soft spot for the bonus tracks, as the extended edition was my first Mingus. “Turn the fuckin mic up” indeed! |
