12.07.22 | I think you also had Xasthur. There’s some interesting crossover in this list between wintery themes, wintery foley (trudging in snow, wind), icy sounding tremolo riffs, and DSBM that taps into the cold feeling of depression. Best Wiegedood album I reckon is the one you’ve posted, although there’s very little between that trilogy quality wise. If you run through each one you’ll see what I mean. Their latest is different, slightly more popular appeal and more energetic, seriously angry but less beautiful/forlorn than the others. not necessarily better imo |
