Sowing 02.19.22	Nice I was waiting for someone to do something like this. I still don't have a firm grasp on every track to say with confidence how much I agree or disagree with this ranking as a whole, so I'll just say that I've been absolutely loving New Romance, The Bells, Superstar, Pink Funeral, Through Me, and Modern Love Stories. Also, Hurts to Love feels like it should be one of the worst things here, but it's so cheery and warm that I can't help but sort of sink into its melodic embrace (the choral hook is rather strong IMO, almost Shins-esque). Anyway, I started trying to make a 12-13 song version of this last night, but I'm already regretting certain omissions, so I have a feeling this will end up being another Dragon New Warm Mountain scenario where I just have to accept the entire thing.
JohnnyoftheWell 02.19.22	oh haha, ngl i ripped this directly off from norma (https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1234487&listid=198646#11) but yeah i feel that this would have worked just fine as a longish single album, but that the final EP outside of Modern Love Stories added so little that it ended up a pointless double? similar to DNWM where i'm gravitating around the highlights big time, but unlike that album i don't think the weaker picks really add anything of their own flavour or, uh, justify their inclusion idk :[
Sowing 02.19.22	Oh haha, I had no idea. You could be right about the weaker cuts here; I've only listened once in-full (and several more times in scattered bits of 3-4 songs at a time). I know certain songs left me a little underwhelmed (Finale was kind of twinkle twinkle blah blah blah, and a small handful of other songs didn't feel essential). Right now I just need to figure out if it's all relative because the good songs are just THAT good, or whether they're truly worth chopping off from the rest of the tracklist. Right now I'm thinking a solid 4 as a whole or a 4.5 if shortened to its best 13 cuts, but it's still very early so who knows -- 5/5 incoming tomorrow, probably. ;-)

rabidfish 02.19.22	For me it's through me > modern love stories > new romance > masquerade. The rest is just ok to mid. I really wish the cut this down to an 8-10 album, as is it's just 4 decent EPs bundled up together

Not a bad song on the whole album.
