MarsKid 11.13.20	Oooo man I tried there for a while! I had an account going but it was just too much of a grind to ever keep it up. I also have a lot of fundamental issues with how it is structured. It doesn't make sense and sets new poets up to fail from my perspective.
dbizzles 11.13.20	Yeah, it's definitely oversaturated and getting views feels like a popularity contest. I don't care that much about it, but as far as finding a real audience, getting feedback, whatever, it's not good. I've had my account for YEARS, though. It was much better like 10 years ago lol.
MarsKid 11.13.20	The system just unequally favors writers that are already established. It also relies heavily on the "give and get" concept, and after years of giving, I've learned that rarely gets you anywhere. For one thing, no one is guaranteed to ever feel obligated to check your work even if you checks theirs. Secondly, for websites like AllPoetry, it is impossible to get a poem noticed at all (or even posted without being a paying member) unless you comment on other poems. This often means that no one really reads what you wrote and are mostly out to get their required comments so they can get their own views.

Koris 05.31.23	So I posted this in the casual convo a month or so ago, but I was proud of it 😊 Aftermath ------------------------------------------------ I’m back in the city again, pensive, wandering about as I wonder what to do without old crutches, old curses carrying my daily verses. Tick tock, tick tock, the clock in my subconscious always ticking, consigning me back to my glass prison; all reason discarded, mental treason disregarded. When will I progress? When will I suppress my burning desires? Only time will show me where I really am; only strife will show me my authentic self, self-will in limbo, self-care in suspension. When all color turns to monochrome, will I turn to a false refuge? When all bliss turns to sorrow, will I bury my newfound clarity? Back in the city again, I wander with heart in hand as a tempest brews within; temptation and redemption clash as I process every old sin. Only time will tell whether I reached heaven or created my own hell; only my inner blues can face me if I face my own private cell.
