My favorite albums of the decade

I wasn't a big fan of 2019 but this decade brought us a lot of great music. Those are my 15 favorites. There's a lot of album that could have been in here. This list renewed my hope in music. In every period of time there was bad music and good music. And this decade had lot of both but the good was amazing! I'm looking forward to the '20s. Peace!
15Alcest
Écailles De Lune

I have a soft spot for this album. it's poetic and beautiful. It deserves a spot in here.
14Aesop Rock
The Impossible Kid

Aesop Rock is an incredible storyteller and this album is just so enjoyable. I love to listen to the instrumental version of it with the television "rapping" over it makes football match way more enjoyable.
13The Dillinger Escape Plan
Dissociation

That's the final sum of all i love about Dillinger. I'm glad they finished their career like this. And please to all just stop to try and find the new dillinger... they were unique and let be the next bands the new themselves.
12Daughters
You Won't Get What You Want

I don't know, probably in some years I will redo this list and this will be higher... It's too close. But it is one of the more unique amazing weird music recorded in this decade. Love it.
11Cattle Decapitation
Monolith of Inhumanity

I mean. Just look at the cover art of this thing! And it sounds exactly like that. What's not to love about it?
10Orphaned Land
The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR

I know, I know... y'all think Mabool is better but it just isn't! (and it wasn't even part of this decade so why am I talking about it anyway?)
9Anaal Nathrakh
The Whole of the Law

We need more metal like this. More music like this. I liked this even better than Vanitas. Finally been able to see them live at the Brutal Assault 2019. Great Show!
8Entheos (CAN)
Le Zahir

I know probably almost no one listened to this record but it is one of my favorites. I sometimes wish you could distinguish the words he screams at you 'cause the lyrics are really good. But still his delivery is so tortured I love it even if one couldn't even tell he's singing in french.
7Shining (NOR)
Live Blackjazz

I wasn't reeally considering live albums for this list. But the studio version of this is just so inferior. THIS is blackjazz as it should be listened. Shame Munkeby want's to be famous and did that crappy new album which the title I forgot and I dont event want to go google. Still, Live Blackjazz rules.
6Igorrr
Hallelujah

I've seen this guy 5 times in concert. and it's amazing. I liked Savege Sinusoid also but Hallelujah is for me his higher peak.
5Queens of the Stone Age
...Like Clockwork

Best QotSA album! Period.
4Kendrick Lamar
To Pimp a Butterfly

Not only the best rap album of the decade probably one of the best of all time. It's not even a Kendrik Lamar album in my view, that's a supergroup. Kendrik, Flyng lotus, Thundercat, Kamasi Washington... should I say more?
3Steven Wilson
Hand. Cannot. Erase.

Glad to have seen Wilson in tour for this one. Amazing concept album, i Hope he will bring us some more of this in the '20s .
2Jaga Jazzist
Live With Britten Sinfonia

That's how you make and album whit an orchestra. Not like S&M where it's Metallica whit some violins. That's a great arrangement of some great songs, I love it.
1Flotation Toy Warning
The Machine That Made Us

I wrote a review of this when it came out, great record, great band, sadly they never got the recognition they deserve.
