Uzumaki 01.17.19	Now now, I appreciate all the recs, and I’ll get to as much as I can in due time. I actually have most, if not all, of DEP, however I considered them too mathy to be metalcore. I liked Phinehas’ latest when that came out, and I’ve listened to all but Underoath’s first two albums (pre-TOCS) and almost all of Norma Jean; they took a long time for me to get into, but I can fuck with them nowadays.

I came into metalcore in like 2008, and for the most part listened to the more popular bands; for the past year and a half I’ve gone through a metalcore slump where I don’t care to listen to too much and a lot of what I hear sounds the same and I zone it out. Starting to come out of this slump just now, and maybe I’ll start digging into the early years of the genre. Thanks again, and if you’ve got more recs, send ‘em my way!!!

FWIW, I do have some Converge on an iTunes library of mine, just haven’t gotten around to listening to them yet. Please refer to my “slump” comment above for clarification. :)

I still stand by (some of) them as personal favorites of mine though, and that’s just according to my personal taste. @Space Jester, maybe, but I’d have to think long and hard and really go back over my lists to determine that one. @deez, I dunno, there’s been some duds in the lists I’ve finished, so you never know.... @coleman and bloodshy, thanks for the sentiments. :) @JustJoe, thanks for the fix!
