my conscience weighs a ton
This track is wound tighter than a mattress spring in Playboy Mansion. Top stuff. |

new white extremity
The strongest opening the album could have hoped for, in a starting-in-the-deep-end kinda way. Those first 30 seconds set the scene perfectly |

pompeii
Fire and brimstone and further fire. This is aggressive as it gets on this album, and it's a sweet sweet rapture. |

THAT FUCKING CHORUS |

golgotha
Peak noise rock right here, probably the hardest song to latch onto re. rhythms and hooks, but having less semblance of structure is a good good look |

cut and run
A suitably ferocious note to close things on; can't get enough of the sneering delivery and wah-wah here |

strange hours
Still making my mind up here - this track is an odd one, very distinct and and definitely intriguing. Probably needs a bit of time to grow, but I'm all ears for further listens |

citizen
Solid middle-of-the-road track |

shira
Still not sold on this, especially as a single. It's all good on paper, but doesn't grab me like the bulk of the album. Flimsy chorus too, especially in comparison to My Conscience, which makes use of similar hooks and vocal melodies. |

bastille day
A convenient pause for breath; pompeii's clamour sounds all the more powerful with this stacked up in front |

bibleland 6
Not so sure about this one - its sluggish wall-of-noise is definitely well placed in the album, but I don't find myself coming back to it |
