Fortunately I mostly "grew out" of my asthma (at least that's what the doc said after my apparently way above average lung function test results) but dry heat and endurance sports still fucking suck.

hal1ax 05.16.17	oh, i'm not saying that the asthma is caused by diet or that it can be extinguished through dietary measures alone--i'm saying that there has been research done on potential correlations between diet and asthma and a lot of people who vastly cleaned up their diet, cutting out lots of processed grain//sugar etc, reported having much less frequent and less severe asthmatic attacks//episodes.

I'm hoping this changes drastically once I get to college and I don't have to pay out of my own pocket for stuff like fruits and salad; it's sad that fast food is a lot cheaper than healthier alternatives. hal1ax 05.17.17	and what i'm saying is that there has been quite a bit of correlational evidence that it can play a role, not implying any causational or 'mechanical' associations, but why would someone with severe asthma not exhaust every known potential treatment avenue. at the very least, it doesn't attenuate your asthma and you become a generally healthier person

guitarded_chuck 05.17.17	ha1 bro i think the correlation you're mentioning (bad diet and asthma severity) is probably because people who have a bad diet are more likely to be obese, and obesity does have a positive casual relationship with asthma severity also that bad diet = poor micronutrient intake which can have a multitude of negative health consequences, some of which almost for sure also have a casual relationship with asthma tl;dr u r wut u eat btch
