Tracklist Remix vol. 1: Deftones

There's a lot of albums that we've heard that have great songs but are marred by bad flow due to a subpar tracklisting; or there were some great songs that almost made the final cut but were dropped for whatever reason. There's several albums I could name off the top of my head like this. This list will focus on Deftones' self-titled

Side A: Needles and Pins

Opening riff has massive My Own Summer vibes and was originally the album opener for the album. Should've been the opener too

When Girls Telephone Boys

Interchangeable with the next track

Lovers

I sometimes consider swapping this with Deathblow and make it end Side A so that's also up to you. Underrated 'Tones song too

End Side A: Bloody Cape

Side B: Hexagram

In the spirit of the structure of tracklistings when vinyls were the medium, they always seemed to have two openers almost like the album itself is a double album, each side presenting a different mood or texture with the songs chosen for the album. Hexagram makes for great Side B opener/centerpiece and kicks off the side with a more experimental and moodier side

Deathblow

Like I said, you could also swap this with Lovers if you like that

Moana

I always thought this one would make a great, as I like to call, pseudo-closer which then lead into...

End Side B: Anniversary of an Uninteresting Event

...the epilogue. Always thought this would bring better closure to the album than Moana
