07.25.16 | Bad Astronaut - 12 Small Steps 1 Giant Disappointment was an album dedicated to Derrick Plourde after his sudden suicide. A lot of the album had subject matter dedicated to him and the band even worked around his drum recordings for a few session recordings to keep him a part of the band even after his death. It creates a few touching moments. |

07.25.16 | technically it was their only album but i think battle of mice - a day of nights probably qualifies. during the recording process, julie christmas and josh graham sometimes hated each other so much that they refused to record in the same room, but goddamn if they didn't channel that anger into a great album |
