08.18.15 | Having mainly played the last two games, Skyrim would be my favorite region. I've never played ESO, always heard it wasn't worth it. Would appreciate some advice for myself and other ES fans on here from anyone on whether it's actually worth playing or not if you love the world of the game, especially since I believe they waved the monthly fee for PS4 and X1? |

08.18.15 | They did abolish the fee. The world is beautiful and expansive, but unfortunately, it's not quite similar to the games we love. The world itself is actually limited until level 50, the exploration feels dumbed down, collecting rare or random cool loot is pretty much gone and it is very much so MMO style quests. It's not all bad, it still is fun but in a different way. Reminds me a lot of Borderlands tbh. Go to an area, do quests in said area, upgrade yr loot, find a boss, etc. It all feels far less up to the player's choice than in previous titles, even with all the regions available. However, being able to explore these new/old areas is a blast. A great game to listen music to as you power thru quests. Daggerfall is sophisticated, Morrowind is sorrowful, Skyrim is proud, Black Marsh is...swampy, etc |

08.18.15 | When I first heard of it I was excited to get into it but I heard too much of it being too dull to warrant checking it out. I picked up a copy of morrowind recently though, so I hope I enjoy my time in it. |

02.29.16 | Elder Scrolls games have basically always been an offline mmo experience... That's the appeal of it - an expansive world where you actually are a special snowflake that gets to do cool shit instead of hit things with a pointy bat.
Why they thought that would translate well to an actual online mmo, I have no idea. |
