These Aren't Your Top 10 Golden Era Sabbath Pics

They're mine. lol Where's Into the Void? [1,000,001] Golden era = first 6 albums.
10Black Sabbath
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

"Killing Yourself to Live"

Ozzy's psychedelic vocals coupled with amazing riffing and haunting lyrics. Sabbath at their best :P

Honorable mention to "War Pigs" which would be 11, also yeah I know there are no Vol 4. songs on here...
9Black Sabbath
Master of Reality

"After Forever"

The main riff is just so catchy almost in a poppy way and the way the bassline follows it is perfect. Sure the lyrics are trying a bit hard to be deep, but they're actually really fun to sing along to.

Sabotage

"The Writ"

I would say that this song has Ozzy's best vocal performance overall, who knew he had it in him? The mellow sections that arise are actually gorgeous and over it's just a long powerful force of a song that concludes what I would argue is Sabbath's best album overall.
7Black Sabbath
Paranoid

"Electric Funeral"

What can I say, a great bass line from Geezer, cryptic lyrics and a crazy middle section jam with weird vocals chanting "Lectric funeral!" make for one hell of a song. How is this not the better of the two nuclear war themed songs?

"Warning"

Iommi is a guitar legend and this song contains multiple examples of some of his best work. Not to mention that Geezer's bassline holds all of this crazy soloing together like glue.

Paranoid

"Hand of Doom"

Speaking of basslines that are amazing, "Hand of Doom" has my favorite Sabbath one overall. The pickup in the middle of the song is perfectly built up by the drums and the aforementioned bass and of course it all fades out from where it started, which yet again another excellent bassline. Oh, and the guitar part rules too.

Master of Reality

"Lord of This World"

This song literally has it all: cryptic lyrics, a catchy bassline, a catchy riff, and bouncy drums, but what really gets me is the guitar during the verses. It's so simple yet perfect in how it adds such a bluesy tone to an other wise less bluesy song.

Sabotage

"Symptom of the Universe"

Yes. Simply a hectic roller coaster of a song with song of the best guitar and drum lines ever. Honestly if the entire song were to only consist of the first 4 minutes, it'd still make the top 10, what drives it as high as top 3 however is the ending and how it perfectly contrasts the first half. Iommi rocks the acoustic solos too haha.
2Black Sabbath
Sabotage

"Thrill of It All"

Honestly the best part of this song is the lyrics. Specifically the line: "Won't you help me Mr. Jesus, won't you tell me if you can? When you see this world we live in, do you still believe in Man?" has to be my favorite Sabbath line ever. The cheerful ending seems like such a perfect sum up the song, especially since it's incredibly unpredictable and unique for their style. Sure life can suck sometimes, but it's still best to look on the bright side and the song conveys this message rather well. Songs that start off depressing and end in happiness in peace seem so rare y'know? And Sabbath pulls it off perfectly. Not to mention that the riff and basslines are great, even if the bass is mixed a bit low.

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

"Sabbra Cadabra"

I can't be the only person who thinks that this is their best song, right? Not only does this have their best riff ever, it's psychedelic and progressive as hell by Sabbath standards and the piano in it is wonderful. Oh and bass is pretty dominant in the music, which is rare for the latter half of the golden era of Sabbath. It's weird that SBS is only my 5th favorite Sabbath, yet this song manages to be 1, heh. No song even comes close to this in my opinion.
