12.17.14 | Never understood what's so spooky or dangerous about Marilyn Manson. |
Veldin
12.17.14 | The media indulging in his "shock" imagery in the late 90's is more frightening |
zakalwe
12.17.14 | The fact he's ripped off Alice Cooper and Bowie is absolutely terrifying |
manosg
12.17.14 | Yeah I see that he might be viewed as dangerous for rich white folks but bands like MC5 or The Stooges sound genuinely dangerous at least to me. |
Veldin
12.17.14 | on the contrary he's stated both those artists as influences, so I can't imagine being terrified in the slightest, but I still implore you to get help. |
Veldin
12.17.14 | My buddy showed me The Stooges the other day and they're intense, but ain't got shit on who they influenced: John Zorn. Kick out the jams, motherfuckers. |
manosg
12.17.14 | hmm never checked John Zorn. Any suggestions? |

12.29.14 | Guys, Holy Wood isn't the best ! It's ambitious, but it doesn't live up to it's conceptual grandness. John Five limits the album with straightforward guitar riffing and the album is littered with too-catchy-for-it's-own-good tracks (ie Love Song, Fight Song etc) |
DoctorDoom
12.29.14 | Mechanical Animals 4 lyfe. |
TalonsOfFire
12.29.14 | I agree that those on Holy Wood are overrated, but pretty much everything else on there aside from a few filler tracks is gold. |

12.29.14 | man that you fear is probably best track |

2 and 1 and interchangeable |
DoctorDoom
01.18.15 | It's not great but I think it's better than born villain and maybe even Portrait. Also, 2 is 1 for me. |
thacoconut94
01.18.15 | Golden age is pretty poor, sounds so... Commercialised? Like he's trying to sell a package rather than great music |
TalonsOfFire
01.18.15 | Golden Age is so fun though and has incredible production and guitar tone even if the music and lyrics themselves are
pretty average |
Tunaboy45
01.18.15 | This Is The New Shit is such a fun song it's hard not to like it, but the lyrics are pretty bad. |
thacoconut94
01.18.15 | Don't get me wrong it's still enjoyable definitely |
Veldin
02.01.15 | I actually like Golden Age because it IS suppose to sound commercialized, but not just commercialized, more of what my friend and I call "third reich-esque". The album is blatantly and sardonically talking shit on the "sheep who follow the herd". Unfortunately though, the album does suffer from being over-produced and poor songwriting IMO. I'd actually change my ranking now to:
1
2
3
4
8
5
6
9
7 |
