Strap It On Ranked

Doing another Helmet list, because I'm that bored. This time for their nasty half-hour-of-power, Strap it On.
9Helmet
Strap it On

"Distracted" - The intro is pretty cool. That's pretty much it. BOOST MAH SELF-EHSTEEM
8Helmet
Strap it On

"Make Room" - A surprisingly light-hearted (for SIO standards) track that does not want to make you smash a window. Good, but still forgettable. TASTE OF THE MOOOOONTH
7Helmet
Strap it On

"FBLA" - A stop-n'-go song that includes guitar screeches and feedback in between each riff. Entertaining, but not very memorable. SYMPATHETIIIIC/ THE ANGRRYYY AND YOOOOUUNG
6Helmet
Strap it On

"Rude" - The title says it all: Mean-spirited and seething in rage. DONT. BE. RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE
5Helmet
Strap it On

"Murder" - New York City is known for its history of noise rock, with bands such as Swans and Unsane starting out there. Helmet were greatly influenced from NYC's thriving noise rock scene and because of said influence, "Murder" was made. Murder includes some of the shakiest and craziest guitar work in Helmet's entire history, making for a very interesting and compelling listen. EVEN THE MOST FABOULSE/CAN. NOT. AVOID!
4Helmet
Strap it On

"Repetition" - Being that it's the first track off their first album, this is arguably the first taste of Helmet most people would get, and this is probably the best track to start out Helmet with. With some of the most savage guitar riffs and even nastier lyrics, Repetition makes for a great opener track. PG FUKED EYED WIDE
3Helmet
Strap it On

"Bad Mood" - The shortest track (clocking in at just over 2 mins.) is one nasty track, with lyrics that designates and destroys any bad, selfish thought to anyone who thinks they're the best. Self absorbed/You're so washed up/So deep inside/JUST THINK BAD THOUGHTS
2Helmet
Strap it On

"Sinatra" - The most atmospheric and moody song here, starting off with a murky bassline and only getting better and better as time goes on. When the guitars come in, they pack one powerful punch, so powerful, it makes your head spin. WHATS THE BEST. FOR. MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?!
1Helmet
Strap it On

"Blacktop" - This is hands down the best track off of STO, and is defiantly in the top 10 best Helmet songs. It has all of the best aspects of Helmet: Crunchy riffs, tight drumming, and one hell of a guitar solo. THE BLACKTOP SPREEAAADS, THE BLACKTOP SPEAKS
