zakalwe
08.08.14 | lol. No way dude I was really young I wasn't thinking about the music, the cover of 1 sucked me in like a tractor beam. |
PunchforPunch
08.08.14 | yo where is definitely maybe smh |

08.08.14 | Whiny manc repetitive dirge at the time for me dude. Still spun it though, you couldn't get away from the thing.

DoofusWainwright
10.22.15 | Quality list, think maybe I should have been looser on my definition too - 'favourite album' limited me |
zakalwe
10.22.15 | These are more the defining moments. The period of 3-5 was ridiculous. Angel Dust, Siamese Dream, Ten, Rage Against the Machine. Older cooler brothers handing down 'underground' stuff like Gorilla Biscuits.
'90s > |
DoofusWainwright
10.22.15 | Didn't have an older brother but my younger brother moved from rock at a young for the most part and towards electronic and hip hop so I've listened to a tonne of both but don't always know who I'm listening to lol. He still does mixes for me to this day. |
zakalwe
10.22.15 | I'll also add that my bedroom wall was adorned with Nirvana posters, hip-hop vinyl covers (Ice-T - Power. I'm surprised me mum didn't ask me to take it down) There was a SNES in the corner and a butterfly knife in me bottom drawer which I must have cut myself on about 80 times trying to look 'hard' lol.
|
DoofusWainwright
10.22.15 | Yeah that's pretty much the same bedroom as mine lol
Only credit I'll give myself is I think I was the only teenager in the country to not put a movie poster of The Crow up |
CalculatingInfinity
10.22.15 | Very nice list Zak, 2 was my first album ever. |
zakalwe
10.22.15 | Cheers Calc.
Doof dude. Ha yep the crow, the mid nineties goth teens film of choice. The NIN cover of Dead Souls is all time classic. The film was alright, the fan base were bell ends. |
CamiloG
10.22.15 | Another great list of this kind, sometimes is good to bring back the memories. |

10.22.15 | sweet list man. i'd say The National are even better than the Smiths tho. but yes, music never dies! |
KrazyKris
10.22.15 | Cool list, zak. Just delete the description for 11, then we're good. |
zakalwe
10.22.15 | "I was old and just didn't get it?"
Can't believe I even questioned myself. It was blindingly obvious post 2000 was bobbins :D |
KrazyKris
10.22.15 | Exactly my point! |
danielcardoso
10.22.15 | Cool list, Zak bud. 4 is obviously superb but the first real eye opener for me would have to be hearing Pearl Jam's "Ten" for the first time and being blown away, knowing that my taste in music would take a turn for the better since, and so it did. |
zakalwe
10.22.15 | Yep, I respect that dan dude. Ten absolutely ruled back then and still does.. Doof can tell you how 'life changing' Nirvana were back in the day though. I wish you were there bro. |
danielcardoso
10.22.15 | I figure it would have been an amazing sensation to be there in the moment. I know it's not the same as living the time, but still hearing now all the excellent records from the 'era' is an amazing experience. |
budgie
05.03.19 | literally the worst list ive ever seen in my entire life |
