| Temple Of The Dog Ranked
No one ever seems to talk about this album... it's great though. | | 10 | | Temple of the Dog Temple of the Dog
"Hunger Strike" Despite this being the biggest hit, Eddie Vedder drags this album
down more than anything else here. Luckily, Chris Cornell and a guitar solo
rescue the song at the end. 3/5 | | 9 | | Temple of the Dog Temple of the Dog
"Times of Trouble" A pretty decent song, but that's about it. It's a little forgettable and
not even close to being a standout. The guitar is pretty cool though. 3.5/5 | | 8 | | Temple of the Dog Temple of the Dog
"Wooden Jesus" Probably one of Vedder's best moments that I've heard (I've also
heard Ten Jam's first 3 albums...) He's pretty clear here and the lyrics are great. 4/5 | | 7 | | Temple of the Dog Temple of the Dog
"Four Walled World" Cornell is incredibly strong here and the music is excellent. This is
only at 7 because the other six manage to top it. 4.5/5 | | 6 | | Temple of the Dog Temple of the Dog
"Call Me a Dog" The lyrics here are really cool, and the guitar solo is pretty decent.
What really seals the deal here though, is the powerful as hell chorus and that sweet
ending. 4.5/5 | | 5 | | Temple of the Dog Temple of the Dog
"Say Hello 2 Heaven" An incredibly dramatic goodbye to Andy Wood.
Strong vocals, cool the guitar, and a depressing theme. Great opener. 4.5/5 | | 4 | | Temple of the Dog Temple of the Dog
"Reach Down" 11 minutes of awesome guitar, Chris Cornell wailing, and a sick bass
line? Yes please. 5/5 | | 3 | | Temple of the Dog Temple of the Dog
"Pushing Forward Back" A really strong leading riff, following by Cornell's powerful
vocals, with cool as hell lyrics. Not to mention, the bridge in this song is one of the
finest moments on the entire album. 5/5 | | 2 | | Temple of the Dog Temple of the Dog
"Your Saviour" Every single lyrics in this song is awesome. The guitar solo is sweet. It
just jams perfectly. Yet again, another epic bridge. Heyeyeyeyeyeyeyeh. 5/5 | | 1 | | Temple of the Dog Temple of the Dog
"All Night Thing" This song paints a depressing picture in the mind. Supposedly its a
description of Mother Love Bone's Andy Wood's last day on Earth. The organs and
drums work together to convey this mood of solemn regret. Certainly one of my
favorite songs ever. 5/5 | |

04.26.14 | I thought you were going to rank their discography... | ArsMoriendi
04.26.14 | ""hunger strike is a 3.7/5 youfucking idiot
stopped reading there"
Oh the irony.
"I thought you were going to rank their discography..."
They have 1 album... how do you rank 1 album? | mandan
04.26.14 | Only heard this once. Should jam it more seeing how much I love both PJ and SG. I seem to be one of the few on the site that loves both bands. | mandan
04.26.14 | I guess I've always thought of PJ and SG as complimentary bands. SG had the heavy riffs, badass drumming and godly vocals, and PJ had the emotionality and some of my all-time fave lyrics (plus McCready is one of my fave guitar players). That's why I've kinda had a hard time seeing that SG fans and PJ fans aren't one and the same club. | OZZGabriel
04.26.14 | I don't know but that's what I thought about when I saw the title...
I too should jam this again. I gave it a 4 but now I only remember the songs 4,5 and 6 (which were great) | ArsMoriendi
04.26.14 | @dannyboy89: Well seeing as I love McCready in Mad Season and Gossard and Ament in Mother Love Bone, and all of their instrumentals in Pearl Jam and Temple of the Dog... I can blame but 1 thing for my distate of Pearl Jam:
Eddie Vedder's vocals.
@OZZ: No biggy man. Also yeah it's totally worth more jams. | mandan
04.26.14 | @Ars: fair enough dude. | conesmoke
04.26.14 | Reach down is very easily the best song on this album. | OZZGabriel
04.26.14 | Wait a minute, you don't like Vedder's vocals!?!?!? | YoYoMancuso
04.26.14 | i can understand 10 being your least favorite but a 3/5? | mandan
04.26.14 | @OZZ: He's said it many times dude. | OZZGabriel
04.26.14 | I must've missed it. | ArsMoriendi
04.26.14 | "i can understand 10 being your least favorite but a 3/5?"
Maybe a 3.5 at most. | NordicMindset
04.26.14 | lol Hunger Strike is not the worst | conesmoke
04.26.14 | It's a fucking stellar album. The hunger strike lyrics are gay as, aside from that its a cool song tho. Once more, reach down is easily the best | ArsMoriendi
04.26.14 | @Green Baron: If you love Soundgarden, but not Pearl Jam, it is.
@Conesmoke: I love "Reach Down" a lot, but for me "All Night Thing" is easily the best. Oh opinions. | NordicMindset
04.26.14 | Reach Down is 1 imo | Rsetness9
04.27.14 | 10 probably rated a 3 because he is a non-conformist | ArsMoriendi
04.27.14 | "10 probably rated a 3 because he is a non-conformist"
No, mainly because I think Eddie Vedder's voice is ugly... |
