09.16.13 | Don't be shy with recs; the more the merrier. Any album that can transport you to a wonderland of sonic goodness. | someguest
09.16.13 | Milton Nascimento and Lo Borges - Clube da Esquina | SgtPepper
09.16.13 | Here's some based on your list.
(60s era) - *= essential.
-Scott Walker- Scott 1-4 albums (baroque pop)*
-The Left Banke- Walk Away Renee*/Left Banke Too (baroque pop)
-Love - Forever Changes* (baroque pop), their only "true" baroque album
-The Moody Blues - Days of Future Passed*/Lost Chord (complex orchestral psych pop- they start to go into prog rock after these two albums)
-The Zombies - Odessey and Oracle*
- The Rolling Stones- Between The Buttons (baroque pop- people say it's a classic, I don't think it's that great)
- Duncan Browne - Give Me, Take You*
- Nico - Chelsea Girls
(modern)
-Sleeping At Last - Keep No Score/Storyboards/EPs (piano-based, folk with some chamber)
-Richard Hawley- Truelove's Gutter, Coles Corner (chamber pop)
-The Olivia Tremor Control - Cubist Castle*/Black Foliage*/Singles & Beyond (sgt. pepper's-meets-Syd Barrett styled psych pop)
- Grizzly Bear - Veckatimest*/Shields/Yellow House
(kind of what you're looking for, but get anyway)
- Donovan - albums Sunshine Superman* to Hurdy Gurdy Man* (psych folk/pop and some baroque influences- I HIGHLY recommend this man.)
- Comus - First Utterance (prog-folk - meaning folk with psychedelic and semi-orchestral/progressive like structures)

09.16.13 | "Milton Nascimento and Lo Borges - Clube da Esquina "
hell yes ^ seconded. it's 95% sung in Portuguese but totally worth it. and I'll second Love, The Zombies and Scott Walker's 'Scott 4' too ^ | Dunwich
09.16.13 | Don't look further than XTC's Skylarking and/or Apple Venus pt.1. Also The Kinks - Village Green album has a lot of baroque/chamber touches. Elvis Costello's pop masterpiece Imperial Bedroom is also worth checking out. | Dunwich
09.16.13 | Oh and The Kick Inside from always lovely Katie Bush. |
