The Sundays were an English alternative rock group. The band, formed in the mid-1980s, released three albums in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their music is characterized by singer Harriet Wheeler's dreamy voice, David Gavurin's rich, jangly, open-chord guitar sound, and suspension-rich harmonies. The band has been on a lengthy hiatus since 1997, with Wheeler and Gavurin focusing on raising their two children.
