Modest Mouse

One of the biggest names in indie music today, Modest Mouse's success has been built on the back of releasingremarkablyconsistent albums in recent years. Their breakthrough can be traced back to the release of 1997's The LonesomeCrowdedWest, after which the band were picked up by Epic Records, with whom they released The Moon And Antarctica,whichtook them to a new level of popularity, thanks in part to the licensing of one song from it for commercial use by Nissan. In 2006, frontman Isaac Brock began workingwith former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr on sometracks for theirnew album. They ended up liking each other and Marr agreed to tour with the band supporting their new album.The album's title isWe Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, and it will be released on December 19th, 2006. « hide
