Chisato Moritaka is a Japanese pop artist that first surfaced to fame in 1987 as a cutesy "idol"-like artist. She is one of the
earliest examples of idols who wrote most of their own music, and, over time, Chisato developed a unique, eclectic style that
covered all sides of the pop border. She is also well known for her collaborations with the legendary musician, Haruomi Hosono.
