Wintersun is the metal-hybrid powerhouse brainchild of Finnish guitarist/songwriter/vocalist Jari MÀenpÀÀformerlyofViking/Folk Metalband, Ensiferum). Pairing up with Rotten Sound drummer, Kai Hahto, the two recorded thebandsdebutself-titled album and released it in2004.The upcoming second album Time was to be released in late 2006, but the schedule was changed to a release in 2009 because of delays in recording and technical difficulties. The first half of the album was released in October 2012, with the second part set to be released in early 2014.Current line-up:- Jari MÀenpÀÀ (vocals, guitar)- Kai Hahto (drums)- Teemu MÀntysaari (guitar)- Jukka Koskinen (bass)
