Agalloch was an atmospheric folk/doom/black metal band from Portland, Oregon. The band was formed by lead guitarist/vocalist John Haughm, and currently includes Don Anderson (guitar), Jason William Walton (bass), and Aesop Dekker(drums). Agalloch's musical direction has been described as "dark metal", a term devised for the combination of folk, doom, black, death, and ambient influences. The band, sadly, parted ways on 5/14/16. Future projects aren't planned, but aren't ruled out.
