Formed by multi-instrumentalist Ryan Lum in 1999 as a very different diversion from his ethereal band Love Spirals Downwards and with over a dozen albums behind them, this underground downtempo band from Southern California play a hybrid of trip hop, jazz, dream pop, club electronica, and chillout. A multitude of influences has resulted in the production of very different sounds with interesting dynamics among tracks on 2002's predominantly indie sounding Windblown Kiss through 2010's Future Past, but one things has remained constant; Ryan and Anji Bee's attempt to create music to chill to.
