yea i think it would have been sick if there was just one heavy part and he did some gardener type screaming stuff.

but im definitely down with this new direction very blues/rock/psychedelic.

The 5 (now 6) tracks I've heard were all pretty much enjoyable (with the exception of this one). It's shaping up to be good, but sadly, I don't think it will touch either previous album. The jazzy/ambient-ish things from this aren't as interesting as they were on IAH, and the "rock" stuff just doesn't feel as "rockin" as it did on SoTP. I dunno, maybe the other tracks with shatter my expectations...here's to hopin'...

keep in mind that these songs were written in bunches over the course of three years. since they didn't have a label to worry about deadlines they took their time and wrote this in separate parts.

i have a feeling that though they will keep this rock/bluesy feel throughout the cd that there will be some surprises.

Progressive Southern Rock is the best way I'd define it. I love everything about this album. Fuck genres though. This album is something that they've wanted to create for a long while. I know for a fact they're tired of playing "I Am Hollywood" and "The Seduction." These guys needed to evolve with their own personal tastes and disregard what the fans considered cool. I hope it's well received and I think it will be.

Oh don't worry, I've got quite a sensual review already broiling for it. I'll make it well received, I'd better.
