The new song felt strange and overly poppy at first but after several focused listens, it is very catchy and still very He Is Legend.
I feel that most of their music is strange until you give it some serious time to grow.

I'm digging this. He Is Legend is one of my favorite bands - I can't believe it's been 3 years since they've released new music. I really like the guitars in this song - so crunchy and heavy. Schuylar also has some pretty good range - more than he did on Suck Out The Poison

I am Hollywood is massively overrated with it's overtly popish sound and super polished feel. I was pretty good but way too overrated.
SOTP was incredible in my book, with it's rather raw heavier sound contrasting their older polished sound.

I think I Am Hollywood is one of the worstly produced albums ever. The screams are given way too much mix and are overdubbed like crazy. But SOTP had great production.
Still love the song.

I'm excited for the production on it hates you.
since they recorded with their friends and technically they weren't signed to any label they could do it how they wanted. Judging from their 2008 demos it sounds very full and clean but with a raw energetic feel.
But in all seriousness, did this leak yet?

i am hollywood had great production, it was just mastered way too fucking loud and over-compressed. admittedly not as much as, say, the latest metallica album, but it's one of the few albums i can't actually bear to listen to at full volume on my mp3 player. that said, its a fucking AWESOME album in terms of music. can't wait for "it hates you"!!!
