Tool's legacy has turned into one of the longest AND most unfun running gag ever made. They could have officially ended the band ten years ago, hum or even fifteen years ago, but instead they slowly tainted their music with the stench of the contempt they showed for everyone who loved it and was waiting for more.

Essentially people are paying to meet the band and get pics which is pretty shitty because it's like "we only want to meet you if you have money"

the first argument is not that strong and you know it. We're talking about half a thousand dollars here. That's too many, if you ask me or anyone in this thread. I mean, at least for Epica, the VIP pass costs like 20 euros more than the simple one and that's fine to justify the working time they spend for it.

It isn't meant to be strong, like I said, I think it's shitty that thye make their fans pay like this for pics and a quick meet-up and I'm not trying to defend them. But my point was that it isn't meant as a merch package, really just an overpriced meet and greet.

meh, many albums have taken as long/longer. cool if it drops, fine if it doesn't. just seems that mjk's passion has died down quite heavily & rapidly in the past decade.
