GZA Liquid Swords
Helmet Meantime
Helmet's defining album, completely original and unmatched. Many imitators but none can match this gem.
ISIS Oceanic
Kyuss Blues For The Red Sun
Public Enemy It Takes A Nation (...) To Hold Us Back
Rage Against the Machine Rage Against the Machine

4.5 superb
Cave In Perfect Pitch Black
Cold 13 Ways to Bleed On Stage
So much emotion can be felt in the songs through Scooter Ward's voice alone. The at times sparse guitar work, solid bass and maniacal drumming make this album great.
Deftones White Pony
The atmosphere and feelings each song gives off make this album great. Chino's ethereal vocals, Stephen's simple guitar work, Abe's amazing drumming and Chi working the strings all make it work along with Frank on the turntables.

It's hard to keep instrumental music interesting sometimes. Pelican makes it seem like they're not even trying, making 10+ minute opuses. Great riffs and grooves.

Cave In Until Your Heart Stops
Not quite completely matured but the intensity and musicainship is there. They have a tendency on this album to drift into ambient noise which is pointless. Overall a great effort.
