5.0 classic
Agalloch The Mantle
Atmospheric and haunting, this will leave a huge impact on the listener. There are few albums out there that contain both the beauty and yet evil nature of this album with such an aura of desperation and yet hatred is seamlessly integrated. This is an essential listen for anyone.
Cryptopsy None So Vile
Evil is the only word that sums up this release-Lord Worms vocals coupled with his lyrics and the insane instrumental work going off all the time, this is a trip into the lowest cesspit of the human mind that you will not forget.
Death Symbolic
Symbolic. The one death metal album that every sane human being should hear at some point, the way the progressive influences are put into this album is so well done that it merits a 5 straight up, even when you dont consider how amazing the riffs and drumming is coupled with Chucks insightful and yet hate-filled lyrics. this is an album you will not forget
Kreator Coma of Souls
The most perfect thrash album ever recorded. Coma Of Souls contains some of the most amazing songs ever written and is Kreators strongest collection of songs regardless of what will undoubtably be said about pleasure to kill and extreme aggression which both seem to overshadow it.
Lights Acoustic
An amazing acoustic EP that seamlessly translates some already great songs and makes them perfect. The cover of The Whos behind Blue eyes brings a tear to my eye every time i hear it her voice is that emotional.
Megadeth Rust in Peace
Every song is a masterpiece other than Dawn Patrol, but that can be overlooked in light of the other songs. The first two songs, Lucretia and Tornado and the title track are the ones to listen to first off here and if you like them (why the fuck wouldnt you) then pick up the album and be prepared to have your ass kicked royally by the genius that is Megadeth
Opeth Blackwater Park
Each song is amazing. This is an album that you can not take lightly as it tells such a fantastic story. I have always seen this as a concept album of someones understanding as to the nature of the world and when taken in that light it brings even more meaning to the album in general
Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here
The most beautiful recording known to man, this is start to finish the most incredible experience to be had in music and an essential listen for absolutely anyone with any respect for themself and their ears whatsoever.
Radiohead OK Computer
Such an incredible experience, everything on here is a must listen and the whole album start to finish is written and recorded with such flawless conviction that it makes for one of the best albums ever recorded. This is one classic that actually does manage to not only live up to the hype but also far exceed it.
Shining (SWE) V - Halmstad
The most emotional experience ever recorded. Shining really did make a masterpiece with their seminal fifth album, Halmstad stands out as the best depressing/suicidal black metal album ever recorded with some haunting tales of the most dark corners of the human mind coupled with Nik's tortured vocals that reflect real pain as opposed to the faux pain heard through most bands.

4.5 superb
Alice Cooper Brutal Planet
Not a lot in the rock genre will ever come close to being as good as this. Alice Cooper made a masterpiece with his first foray into the industrial rock/metal genre that contains a lot more bite than anything he had ever recorded before
Atheist Unquestionable Presence
One of the few albums that can merge progressive influences and death metal with a little jazz perfectly. This is an amazing release that merits a listen from everyone with any self respect whatsoever
Camel Mirage
One of the best prog albums ever recorded with some incredible instrumental work and vocals that could melt anyone where they stand. Nothing about the perfection of this album can be debated as it is just fact that everything about it is amazing and destroys anything else out there in the genre aside from Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Cannibal Corpse The Wretched Spawn
The bands peak, in my opinion. This coupled the technical riffing of their later music with the catchy nature of The Bleeding and made for their most solid album to date.
Dark Angel Darkness Descends
Anyone who can listen to this without shrieking the chorus to the title track is fucked in the head as far as i am concerned. this is thrash as it should be done.
Death The Sound of Perseverance
Chucks vocals were always my favorite thing abotu this album but it contains some of their most solid songs as well and was a great note for Death to go out on. Flesh and the power it holds, Spirit crusher and Scavenger Of Human Sorrow stand out as some of the finest metal songs ever. Something else worthy of noting about this album is just how well the death metal blends with the more progressive styling that was evolved even more from Symbolic. This really is a masterpiece that is worth anyones time and money and everyone should hear at some point in their life. If you have time, listen now. If you dont have time, then fucking make time-you will not regret one second spent listening to The Sound Of Perseverance, Chucks swansong.
Death Human
Human is one of the most powerful, impacting, shockcing death metal albums of all time that blazes past in half an hour and in doing so has so much going off that it will tkae multiple listens to understand exactly what the hell you just listened to. This is perfection incarnate.
Destruction Eternal Devastation
Such a solid followup to Infernal Overkill. Still not quite perfect but this is definitely thrash metal how the devil intended it-fast, heavy and non-stop aggression. The more technical aspect of this album and the actual variety found in it is what makes this better than their debut but both are still incredible releases. If you like thrash give this a listen as it is probably their most solid album
Dissection Storm of the Light's Bane
Damn near to being perfect, this is one of the most aggressive and angry sounding albums ever recorded. Dissection really made a masterpiece with Storm Of The Lights Bane laden with highly technical instrumental work and a near untouchable atmosphere that radiates nothing more than the deepest darkest emotions that a human being can feel
Emperor In the Nightside Eclipse
Dammit, the symphonies on this album are integrated amazingly. This is black metal as the devil intended it-so much rage and hate compressed into one package that whizzes past and makes you immediately want to hit the replay button
Exhorder Slaughter in the Vatican
How much hate can a band pput into one album? Clearly Exhorder wanted to break the record for this with their seminal debut that packs so much rage into its running time that it really is a thing to marvel at
Faith No More Angel Dust
Angel Dust stands as testament to how wierd and bizarre and yet still completely awesome a band can sound if they relaly put their soul into it. Anyone who is going to say that this isnt unique is crazy and anyone who says it isnt amazing is even crazier
Kreator Hordes of Chaos
One of the finest modern thrash albums recorded. Hordes Of Chaos is just one long masterpiece that never lets up in its ability to drop your jaw
Megadeth Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?
Until recently, my favorite Megadeth album, this really is amazing, and Good Mourning Black Friday, My Last Words and The Conjuring stand as testament to how good Dave and the boys really were even despite their heroin addictions.
Neil Diamond The Jazz Singer
A fantastic 80s pop/rock album that just has so much going off throughout and never fails to have that spark that made neil diamond such a good artist to being with. Each song is a masterpiece and each song deserves a lot more love than they recieve sadly.
Nuclear Assault Survive
Survive stands out as one of the finest thrash metal albums ever recorded, far outdoing Game Over. This is a speedy, aggressive, hate filled album that really doesnt take its foot off your throat for one minute.
Opeth My Arms, Your Hearse
One of the most perfect prog-metal albums ever recorded, everything about this album is guaranteed to inspire awe and your jaw dropping. and then you start headbanging to fuck, for that is what this album is all about/
Overkill Ironbound
Ironbound is Overkills best album to date, regardless of what some will have you believe. this is a really solid album and one that few, if any in the genre can match.
Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon
Dark Side Of The Moon is indeed the masterpiece you have heard about and been lead to believe that it is, this is a fantastic album that few can really hope to match both within the constraints of the progressive genre and in music in general.
Radiohead Kid A
This album is such an emotional mind fuck in the best possible way, anyone who truly understands this album and what the hell they just heard after hearing it is a smart person as this really is wierd but amazing at the same time
Rush 2112
The title track is the most beautiful song ever composed, for sure, but the rest of the album is a little disjointed. However this does not change the fact that the album is a timeless classic that should not be ignored in favor of anything at all.
Slayer Hell Awaits
The best Slayer album with a dark atmosphere and some really crushing riffs on top of Toms manic vocal performance
Tonight Alive What Are You So Scared Of?
One of the best pop punk albums ever recorded. period. the vocal work is some of the best out there and the instrumentals are a cut above the usual cut-and-dried chord rubbish you hear

4.0 excellent
Alice in Chains Dirt
Haunting and dark but also beautiful this is the most amazing grunge album ever recorded. period. They come to snuff the rooster,, yeahhhhh. Such a great album with lyrics that speak volumes about the life of the vocalist
Anthrax Among the Living
A cracking slice of thrash metal that contains the bands biggest hits as well as some really cool other songs such as the monster title track and the brilliance that is NFL.
Between the Trees The Story and the Song
Cannibal Corpse The Bleeding
Cannibal Corpse Vile
Chris Cornell Euphoria Morning
So few vocalists possess such a wide range of vocals as chris and this album displays that the best. Listen to Preaching The End Of The World for an idea as to how this sounds.
Cryptopsy Blasphemy Made Flesh
Death Individual Thought Patterns
Destruction Infernal Overkill
Edge of Sanity Crimson
Crushing riffs ,morbid and exciting lyrics and amazing drumming makes this one of the best experiences to be found in music ANYWHERE. Brutal and yet exceedingly melodic this album is one of the best released

Opeth Orchid
Opeth Ghost Reveries
Overkill The Years of Decay
Pink Floyd Animals
Pink Floyd The Wall
Quo Vadis Defiant Imagination
Rage Against the Machine The Battle of Los Angeles
Rage Nucleaire Unrelenting Fucking Hatred
A really cruel sounding release that actually does Lord WOrm and Cryptopsy justice despite his obvious change in style. This is a non stop ear assault of a black metal album that has so much anger behind it that it is hard to not be blown away by it. Sheer incredible
Rush Moving Pictures
Rush Clockwork Angels
Sepultura Arise
Sepultura Beneath the Remains
Thrash how it should be done-fast and aggressive, and this is the best album the band ever put out. The production is crisp and even Maxs vocals are bareable for once.
Slayer Haunting the Chapel
Slipknot Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses
Sodom Agent Orange
Sodom M-16
Suffocation Effigy of the Forgotten
The Notorious B.I.G. Ready to Die

Def Leppard Best of Def Leppard
Deftones Koi No Yokan
Demon Hunter Demon Hunter
A metalcore album that actually moves me everytime i hear it. There is so much emotion poured into every single song and they all have a genuine feel of rage akin to some of Slipknots stuff, but a lot better than that.
Entombed Left Hand Path
Entombed Clandestine
Exodus Bonded by Blood
Faith No More The Real Thing
Garbage Bleed Like Me
Green Day American Idiot
Immortal Sons of Northern Darkness
Immortal are one of those bands who can right any mistake they have made over their career with an ass-kicking album. Whilst this is flawed as hell and had some creases to be ironed out it still stands out as a fucking incredible album that few in the genre will ever match in creativity and general balls
Immortal At the Heart of Winter
Immortal Pure Holocaust
InMe Herald Moth
InMe The Pride
Jack Off Jill Clear Hearts Grey Flowers
Really solid album, Jessicka scared the fuck out of me with her scremaing on Auther Unknown. This is an amazing album that everyone should experience just for how varied and unique sounding it is. There are a lot of apparent flaws but they can be overlooked in light of how soldi the songs are

Misfits American Psycho
Morbid Angel Covenant
Nuclear Assault Game Over
Obituary Slowly We Rot

Not the be-all end-all album many consider it to be but definately a good fun listen and there is nothing too horrible about it. the first two songs stand out as the best on here
Rage Against the Machine Rage Against the Machine
Not quite as good as i remember it being but still an energetic asskicking listen full of hate filled lyrics spewed from Zachs mouth and some brilliant guitar and bass work marred by below par drumming

Sepultura Schizophrenia
Slayer World Painted Blood
Slipknot Slipknot

An album that is flawed by the annoying piano section in the middle that feels too disjointed for the rest of the release. Still a magnificent album that everyone should give a shot. One 25 minute song, a marathon that is rewarding to lsiten through even if you only listen to the metal sections.

3.0 good

Not quite as bad as some would have you believe and definitely not the WORST thing ever recorded but certainly nothing good at all. Scene Girlz is passable i guess but the rest sucks quite bad.
Busted A Ticket For Everyone
Green Day ¡UNO!
Kill The DJ reminds me of Robbie Williams crossed with Blood On the Dance Floor and stands out as the worst song on here but none of it is particularly good. it is not the worst thing ever recorded by any means but its definitely not worth the money they would charge you for it
