Brand New The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me

4.5 superb
Frank Turner Positive Songs for Negative People

4.0 excellent
Chimaira Resurrection
Fast-paced, heavy, and at times melodic. The band pumps out an album full of intense and intricate listens. Reunited with their original drummer, the double bass that made them famous is on full display. The guitars have only improved, and Rob's ability to set a mood(with Spicuzza's electronics backing) is shown throughout.
Elliott Smith Either/Or
Flobots Fight with Tools
Maylene and the Sons of Disaster Maylene and the Sons of Disaster
The unmistakable sound of Maylene and The Sons of Disaster. Hard hitting guitars fire out southern influenced riffs, and Dallas Taylor's intense vocals stand front and center. This was a less polished Maylene, with a hardcore sound more prominent then their later southern-rock inspired albums.
My Chemical Romance The Black Parade
Senses Fail The Fire

3.5 great
Avenged Sevenfold Waking the Fallen
Avenged Sevenfold City of Evil
A stylistic change for the band, but one they executed gracefully. While Shadow's voice may grow grating to some, the boys behind him can more then make up for it. Great guitar work throughout, and some of the Rev's best drumming on display. This is one of their more consistent albums, and second in their catalog only to 2003's Waking The Fallen.

Nine Inch Nails The Downward Spiral

Senses Fail Still Searching (Deluxe Edition)
Silverstein A Shipwreck in the Sand
Staind Dysfunction
Steel Panther Feel the Steel
The joke may have lost some of it's initial impact, but their debut album blended parody and musicianship into something undeniably fun to take in.
