Hawthorne Heights If Only You Were Lonely
Hawthorne Heights have greatly improved on their second album, fixing most of the major flaws from their debut. The vocals never get annoying, although the screams can still get occasionally annoying. The instrumentation, while not sounding too amazing, sounds much more fleshed out, and the usage of 3 guitars actually works out sometimes. However, the lyrics stick a little too close to familiar ground with the depressing themes, and the band still don't have any new or fresh ideas to add to the pop-emo formula. Bring Me the Horizon Count Your Blessings
"COUNT YOUR FUCKING BLESSINGS!" Bring Me the Horizons debut release is mostly a mixed bag, featuring great tracks such as "Pray For Plagues" and deathcore classic "For Stevie Wonders Eyes Only (Braille)." There are some pretty mediocre tracks, such as "Off the Heezay," which has has one of the most ridiculous breakdowns I've ever heard. "da da da! YEA YEA YEA"

Hawthorne Heights The Silence in Black and White
Although Hawthorne Heights debut has some solid and catchy moments, the lyrics are horrid, the vocals (especially the screaming) can sound annoying and awful, and as a whole is a uncreative and uninspired piece of work. Just download Niki FM and Ohio Is For Lovers and be on your merry way.

Woe, Is Me Genesi[s]
When Woe, Is Me released "I've Told You Once," I was slightly worried about how the rest of rthe album was going to sound. While "I've Told You Once" was okay, it was plagued by boring rand repetitve "chug chug chug" guitars that never change tone throughout the song, and rhorrendous lyrics like "it must be hard to talk shit with a dick in your throat." I've rfinally gotten around to listening to the full album... And wow. Every song sounds EXACTLY rthe same. And are ruined by the same things that flawed "I've Told You Once"... Shitty rdjent-like guitars that never change tone and horrible, HORRIBLE lyrics. The screaming rvocalist, while not a bad vocalist, isn't all that great and lacks variety in his screams. rNot even the clean vocalists nor the guest vocalists can save this album. Stay far, far away rfrom Genesi[s].
