One of my FAVORITE and most original metal bands ever. I love Max's voice.. been with them since Side Show Freaks. I contributed to the crowdfunding campaign to help make this album. Having said that, I am severely disappointed. This CD FEELS and SOUNDS like a BURNED CD. Which it might be considering the state of the music industry today. These guys are just trying to get their music out there, I get it. But besides that, it's as if they forgot how to make the crushing, melodic, rhythmic type of songs that make them 40 BELOW SUMMER! Half of the CD sounds like Max is eating the microphone and there's just not much, if any melody, hooks or good riffs. I've listened to it 3 times hoping it would grow on me or maybe I was "missing" something... nope. It's as if they're trying too hard. I NEVER though I'd say this about a 40BS album because I've liked literally every song they've ever made but this is akin to MetallicA spitting out St. Anger (which is better than this unfortunately). I just don't get it and was hoping for so much more
