Wow. I would have never expected this sort of anthem-like, rock opera concept album from MCR and more than that I would have never expected it to be great. This is simply soaked with charisma given mainly by Gerard's one-of-a-kind vocals. A full effort, strong from start to finish, despite a few weak tracks. "I Don't Love You", "Welcome To The Black Parade", and "Famous Last Words" are the best tracks

Janus Nox Aeris
A breath of fresh air in the alternative metal scene, which has become increasingly generic and redundant the past few years. Janus does the impossible by coming up with an original album. It is far from perfect, but I didnt think i would ever like an alternative metal album again. So props to Janus

Ambulance- Amazing. Best Conventional Weapons song so far. Catchy as shit and simply fun. I love it. Gun- Not good. repetitive, annoying and meaningless. Catchy enough to be passable but not by much.rOn the whole this release comes out to be as good as number one, just less consistent

A band I love tries Christmas music. I had no idea what to expect. So it shouldnt surprise that I was surprised. I was surprised at how fun the album was and I was surprised that there are quite a few fantastic tracks. That said there are some misses, and sometimes it gets too religious, but then again it is a Christmas album. Anyways this is solid and something I will listen to for many Christmases to come.

I love post-hardcore so thats why this has a decent rating, but this is typical of the genre and it is nothing special. Many other bands do a better job of what ATS is trying to do
Boys Like Girls Boys Like Girls
Dance Gavin Dance Downtown Battle Mountain
A show of potential. I have yet to listen to their newer work, but I would like to see them mature their sound and capitalize on the flashes of brilliance in this album. This album also feels like it has a lot of filler, like they ran out of ideas. all the same, I look forward to seeing how Dance Gavin Dance moves on from Downtown Battle Mountain

You Me At Six Take Off Your Colours
You Me At Six Sinners Never Sleep
You Me At Six begins to move in a different direction, while hanging on to their roots. Sometimes the heavier songs work ("Bite My Tongue", "Little Death"), but sometimes they are laughably bad ("Time is Money"). Songs like Reckless will remind you of old YMAS. Overall this is a very solid and enjoyable effort.

Atreyu The Curse
Balance and Composure The Things We Think We're Missing
Converge Petitioning the Empty Sky
It bewilders me how people like Converge. It seems as if no thought was put into the vocals or the actual music and the result is a band who sounds like each individual member is playing a different song. I dont get it

My Chemical Romance Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys
In an attempt to build on the success of The Black Parade, MCR makes an even more over-the-top album, which proves to crumble under the weight of its own expectations. The concept of a future gang of rebels does not come across at all. Gerard's vocals lack the passion and tenacity that made him popular. It is a mess.
