It had me hooked from the first song, and kept me entertained throughout. To me, it has a very interesting sound and feel to it, unlike a lot of the other music I listen to, I'm not entirely familiar with doom/post-metal as this is classified as, but this might make me look into it a little more. Instrumentals are great, production quality is great, I think the female vocalist is a great screamer but an average at best singer. I think she achieves the right feel/ambiance with her singing but it's not technically spot on in my opinion, and just doesn't sound right at times. That me be a bit of a harsh criticism but it doesn't detract much of anything from the album. I've been playing this a lot recently.The Ocean PelagialThe last two albums really underwhelmed me and a lot of other people, but they seem to be back on the right track with this one. Definitely a fun album, and you can't help but compare this vocalist with Claudio Sanchez as they sort of...look and sound very similar haha.
