Daylight Dies A Frail Becoming
Daylight dies is a doom metal/melodic death metal band originating from the states themselves Raleigh, North Carolina to be more specific. A Frail Becoming is their fourth studio album and let me tell you this it does not disappoint. The overall sound of this album can be summarized in just a few words, just plain depressing. This album will take you to the darkest parts of your mind and it will not let you escape. The guitar work has vastly improved with massive chugging riffs and semi-technical melodic leads. The vocals convey every dark emotion known to man with somber cleans and roars that are full of anger and despair. The drumming serves as a backing beat for the forthcoming funeral procession of an album this is although the double bass work is quite a bit more prominent. The bass well like any other metal album its there but barely audible it gets the job done though. To any doom or melodic death metallers this album will not disappoint this will easily stand up to and even surpass the new Katatonia and Swallow the Sun albums. This album is another memorable addition to Daylight Dies catalog and may even surpass what man consider their magnum opus Dismantling Devotion. I would definitely put this at the top of my metal list for this year though
