However, the rest of the album, while it is certainly strong at points, is relatively forgettable. This is different from his later and best-known albums, both in sound and consistency.Billy Joel An Innocent ManThis album is meant to emulate the music of Joel's childhood- an intention that often leads to cover albums- a premise that would certainly leave me skeptical of the quality of this album. Albums of this sort are rarely good, but Billy Joel really does make it work with An Innocent Man.blink-182 Take Off Your Pants And JacketCage The Elephant Cage the ElephantCake Motorcade Of GenerosityColdplay ParachutesColdplay A Rush of Blood to the HeadCompany Of Thieves Ordinary RichesDave Matthews Band Away From The WorldDave Matthews Band Under The Table And DreamingFatboy Slim You've Come A Long Way, BabyGuster ParachuteGuster Ganging Up on the SunJack's Mannequin Everything in TransitNeutral Milk Hotel In the Aeroplane Over the SeaOasis Don't Believe the TruthPink M!ssundaztoodPink I'm Not DeadThe Beatles Abbey RoadPretty overrated album. It should say something when an album is released less than two years after its predecessor. Overall, most of the songs on this album seem to be all about the chorus and have little substance (with the very notable example of "Little Black Submarines", which is possibly the best song that they've ever come out with- it gives one an idea what the band is capable of); it suffers from something that I like to call 'singles syndrome'- when a large number of the tracks on an album seem to be designed for radio airplay, and the artist had never previously been a band about the singles (Dave Matthews Band's 2001 release, Everyday, is a textbook example of this).rOverall, this is is still a pretty good album, but it really doesn't stack up to their previous work. The Shins Port of MorrowTrain TrainIt's hard to believe that Train had real character at some point. Listening to this album and perhaps Drops of Jupiter will make you realize otherwise.Train Drops of JupiterSolid title track, overall solid album. Nothing spectacular/groundbreaking, nothing too memorable, but a solid album nonetheless.2.5 averageAugustana Can't Love, Can't HurtCage The Elephant Thank You Happy BirthdayColdplay X&YFoo Fighters Echoes, Silence, Patience & GraceLana Del Rey Born to DieOasis Be Here NowOasis Familiar To MillionsPink Try ThisSnow Patrol Eyes OpenThe Pink Spiders Teenage GraffitiTom Petty and the Heartbreakers EchoWeezer The Green AlbumWeezer The Red AlbumWeezer Hurley2.0 poorDave Matthews Band Stand UpDave Matthews Band EverydayOasis Dig Out Your SoulOasis Heathen ChemistryWeezer Make Believe1.5 very poorGreen Day 21st Century BreakdownThis is likely the album that skeptics expected when they first heard of American Idiot and what it was. That is, an album that is ridiculously overblown and tries to be more than it really is or ever will be.O.A.R. All SidesThe Pink Spiders Sweat It OutTrain Save Me San FranciscoI agree with the reviewer that Train seems to be capable of more than this. While I'm not a huge Train fan, I recognize what they're capable of. I have their first two albums (self-titled and Drops of Jupiter), which, while being nothing even remotely groundbreaking, are pretty solid. I decided to give this album a shot after hearing those two. I found that I liked this album more the first time than with future listens- its lasting appeal is zero. It's inoffensive, but with that comes virtually no character. I ended up removing this album from my iPod after a while.1.0 awfulCrazy Frog Crazy Frog Presents Crazy HitsWeezer Raditude
