Kind of frustrating to me that they chose to go another direction in the end, but I'm glad we got to hear them. Boy Division: Catchy, full of energy and gritty guitars. The kind of song that really suits Gerard's manic vocals. Tomorrow's money: A grower, but again Gerard's awesomely obnoxious vocals mixed in with the guitar and bass burrow their way into your brain. I really can't wait for Number 2 and at the same time, I wonder what direction they'll be taking for the new album. Awesome! The hooks are catchy rand the lead singer ain't too shabby in the vocal department either. But don't expect this ralbum to break any new ground lyrically or musically. I look at this band as a less rsubtle My Chemical Romance, or a The Used "lite", and that's not necessarily a bad thing. rFans of these bands will most likely find something to enjoy here. But anyone interested in rthis particular brand of alternative rock/pop punk, or those who like their post hardcore rwith a nice helping of pop should give this album a chance. rStand out tracks: Parade, Hate, SarcasmGlass Animals DreamlandJamie xx In ColourJanelle Monae The ArchAndroidJeremih Late Nights: EuropeKaty Perry One of the BoysLady Gaga JoanneLinkin Park Minutes to MidnightMaroon 5 Hands All OverMayday Parade A Lesson In RomanticsMisery Signals ControllerMuse The 2nd LawNina Simone 'Nuff SaidNina Simone Nina Simone and PianoNina Simone Black GoldNorah Jones Come Away with MeQueen Sheer Heart AttackQueen The WorksSerj Tankian Elect the DeadSleeping With Sirens With Ears to See and Eyes to HearSleeping With Sirens Let's Cheers to ThisThe Receiving End of Sirens The Earth Sings Mi Fa MiThe Used The UsedThe Weeknd Beauty Behind the MadnessTory Lanez The New TorontoVendetta Red Between the Never and the Now2.0 poor100 Gecs 10,000 gecs3OH!3 Streets of GoldAt the Gates Terminal Spirit DiseaseAvenged Sevenfold Avenged SevenfoldAvril Lavigne Goodbye LullabyBritney Spears ...Baby One More TimeBritney Spears BritneyBritney Spears Britney JeanBullet for My Valentine FeverCharli XCX CharliDark Tranquillity ProjectorDark Tranquillity ConstructI love this band, but this is one one of the most flat, most boring albums I've heard in a while. There is a notable lack of energy and dynamism that just brings you down and sucks all the fun out of listening. I was just thinking that the lifeless, grey figure on the cover is the perfect visual representation of me after I finished listening to this the first time.Drake Nothing Was the SameFetty Wap For My FansHollywood Undead American TragedyJason Derulo TattoosJonny Craig A Dream Is A Question You Don't Know How To AnswerJonny Craig could sing a proctology textbook & still sound smoother than a mother****er. Unfortunately his amazing vocals can only distract from unimaginably dull music for so long. There are a few gems here, like the sultry "I've been hearing that you're freaky", but many of the rest of the songs on the album sound similar to each other, turning listening into a chore.Kelela Take Me ApartAn extremely well crafted album. Unfortunately, except for a couple of choice cuts, it's nothing but the same old electronic rnb drivel.
