| This band has stopped me from killing myself, and for that I will always love them. This album was deep and raw, and portrayed real emotions that I'm familiar with. Danny's depression and desperation shone through his lyrics, as well as his self-destructive lifestyle, and I admire his honesty and also his resolve to get better (he has stopped the use of drugs and excessive alcohol, as well as promiscuity.) I do feel that their music is good music, and I know there will be those who do not agree. Some may say it's "emo" or has no talent, but if you really feel that then that's great for you, but I have to disagree. Just because it's heavy with emotion, it isn't emo. There is talent, especially in the lyrics. The lyrics mean the most to me, I can relate with a lot of them. The music is just the background to me...but even then, I still love it. Feel free to disagree with me, but this is just my opinion and I will defend AA for saving my life and motivating me to get help. |
