Literally the greatest thing that will happen this year. Easily the best album they've written-- lots of tasty riffs, production is fantastic, lots of creativity. It's essentially Converge by way of ETID. AOTY.

Songwriting is pretty solid. Each musician is at the top of their game, and Karl kills it on the vocals (his cleans are pretty great too when featured). It's very Shai Hulud-y... which I think is great. It feels exactly like what I would expect from the follow up to Controllers.

Good album. Not better than TDBHAH but still a solid outing. Hope to have a review up for it soon.

Some really great hardcore, similar to Defeater and the like. Tight drum playing, great guitars (the guitar tone is fantastic), and some great lyrics really make this an enjoyable album.
Killer Be Killed Killer Be Killed
Northlane Singularity
Song-writing has improved since Discoveries, however the clean vocals have taken a major hit and are featured more frequently then they were in previous material. Overall, though, a solid step in the right direction for this band.

Every Time I Die Last Night in Town
Every Time I Die The Big Dirty
Hail the Sun Wake
My Iron Lung Relief
As stated before-- nothing particularly new to the emotional post hardcore genre, but these guys do possess some stellar song structures and understanding of harmony. It's a very promising debut album!
Periphery Periphery II: This Time It's Personal
Thy Art Is Murder Dear Desolation
this ain't your grandfather's Thy Art is Murder anymore.

3.0 good
Architects Holy Hell
Between the Buried and Me Coma Ecliptic

The song-writing is pretty stellar, and all of their solos have a ton of feeling to them.

2.0 poor
Oceans Ate Alaska Lost Isles
White Arms of Athena White Arms of Athena
I can't begin to describe my disappointment with this album. It was one of my top anticipated and it failed in
nearly every regard... Singer sounds like he's constantly flat/bored, the instrumentation is lackluster, the
songwriting is pathetic. There is more ambience/noise sections than there needs to be (one 11 minute song is
about 9 minutes ambience/noise... why?) and this album seems more concerned with being titled prog rock than
actual well-written music... Guess we'll have to wait another 3 years for them to maybe release something worth
our time.
