Currently my favorite album out of 2012's offerings. This screams "instant classic." glad to see them getting recognition. props to deathwish for picking them up too.
Make Do and Mend End Measured Mile
Minor Threat Minor Threat
Modern Life Is War Witness
Pig Destroyer Phantom Limb
The Acacia Strain The Dead Walk

One of my favorite albums in a long time. Hardcore with emotion done right.

Converge You Fail Me

Good old Easycore, in the vein of Fight Fair. Vocalist is kind of obnoxious but good easycore is so rare these days that I'll take what i can get.
Harm's Way (USA-IL) Isolation
Killing The Dream Fractures
Killing The Dream In Place, Apart
Kingmaker Less Faith
La Dispute Wildlife

I absolutely adore this album. They could be my favorite pop punk band if it weren't for the atrocious lyrics. I love them, but the lyrics are just so bad that I cringe a bit when I actually focus on them. The album's still awesome though.
Mastodon Blood Mountain
Mastodon Crack the Skye
Memphis May Fire Challenger
Generic post-hardcore at its peak. Everything clicks, and Matty's vocals are at their finest.

For the longest time I couldn't stand these guys. I had this album lying around but never got past the first few tracks because of how dull I thought it was. Flash forward a month or two ago and now this is one of my favorites out of last year's tidal wave of Pop Punk. Give it a chance and let it grow on you. You won't regret it.

As par for the course with JFAC, the genre changes up yet again, though it's less drastic than previous releases. Gloom sees the tech death of Ruination hit with a tinge of melodic death metal, particularly that of The Black Dahlia Murder. It works well, and the combination leaves us with JFAC's best material yet. Check it out if you liked any of JFAC's albums, or the aforementioned Black Dahlia Murder.
Kreayshawn Somethin' 'Bout Kreay
La Dispute Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair
Light Years Just Between Us
Lions!Tigers!Bears! Shallow Waters, Endless Depth
A surprising release. Compared to the legions of identical post-hardcore bands these days, LTB tries to stand out at least somewhat, and it works out. Some parts remind of Norma Jean which is always a plus.

If you need some straight-up modern hardcore with no frills this will hit the spot. Nothing unique here, but it's done very well so that's excusable. Looking forward to a full length from these guys.

Out of the aussie deathcore scene this is one of the best. The last album was total suicide silence worship (done well, but still), while this is more unique. taking the best of tech death and adding in great breakdowns makes this stand out from the rest of the pack. vocals are astounding too./

Vision of Disorder The Cursed Remain Cursed
Volumes Via
Instead of trying to show of technical chops, these guys go for a groovier sound. It really works better for them in the end. They're pretty great at that, and while some tracks are unimpressive, the album is littered with brilliant songs like Intake and The Columbian Faction. Edge Of The Earth is undoubtedly the highlight of the album, managing to be heavy and beautiful at the same time. Unlike most metalcore bands who shoehorn in clean vocals, Volumes employs them rarely on Edge Of The Earth for maximum impact. They're very well performed (a rarity these days) and will stick in your mind for weeks to come. The album is worth a listen for that track alone.

Musically, this isn't half bad. Unfortunately the vocals are so awful on this EP that it isn't anything more than average. Live they sound great, but hopefully their next release will have more tolerable vocals.

Rated strictly on the bonus tracks, this reissue is worthless. The "new" stuff is mediocre at best (who on earth wanted to hear acoustic Woe, Is Me?) and the two unaltered tracks you get added on just aren't good enough to justify spending the extra money on the reiusse. Just get the original and buy Vengeance and Fame > Demise on iTunes or something.
