If you've been following the interviews, I would say that they were exactly right on it being a 50-50 collaboration and the elements included in the music. There are parts that sound like Wilson's "Grace for Drowning" and others that resemble "Heritage" in a way. I would even go as far to say that there are elements of Opeth's album "Still Life" or even "Orchid", but of course without the growls. Overall I am amazed by the uniqueness of the music and I'm sure it will grow on me the more i listen to it. I was not a huge fan of "Grace for Drowning" but i think this album was a lot better. Overall I am pretty satisfied with the album on my first listen.
